Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their three children love spending time in the kitchen

William and Kate have a large staff that prepares meals and tasty treats at both Kensington Palace and Anmer Hall, their country estate. But that doesn’t mean that the royal couple and their three children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis – don’t know how to hold their own in the kitchen.

According to Town & Country, William, Kate, and the Cambridge kids recently supported the British Armed Forces’ annual fundraising effort by baking cupcakes. William and Kate have had to get creative when it comes to carrying out their royal duties during the pandemic.

Instead of making appearances at events and greeting large crowds, Prince William and Kate supported the Poppy Appeal – the annual fundraising effort for the UK Armed Forces community – baked poppy cupcakes with their kids.

The special batch of baked goods made their way to the Royal British Legion’s Norfolk care home, and they shared a photo on Twitter.

“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their family have shown their support for our #PoppyAppeal this year by baking these delicious poppy cakes which were delivered to our care home in Norfolk,” they wrote.

The Cambridges are looking for a new housekeeper who can exercise ‘discretion’

As Vanity Fair recently noticed, William and Kate are in need of a new permanent housekeeper at Kensington Palace. Anyone who has experience and the right to work in the UK can apply for the position.

The job posting reads, “We wish to appoint an experienced person to assist in Royal residences. You will support the management of all housekeeping operations and pro-actively deputize for the Senior Housekeeper, being accountable in their absence.”

The posting notes that the ideal candidate will have “an organized approach” and “take pride” in what they do. They are looking for someone who is able to manage a “varied workload” and who also shows initiative.

The ad also states that they are looking for someone who is “content to work flexibly.” This includes “being able to travel,” which could mean they need someone who can work at both Kensington Palace and Anmer Hall.

The most important quality that Prince William and Kate are looking for in their new housekeeper is the ability to keep their mouth shut.

“Maintaining confidentiality and exercising discretion at all times is paramount,” the ad reads.

Prince William and Kate Middleton’s new housekeeper will take care of a 20-room ‘apartment’

While Buckingham Palace is the primary residence for Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip alone, Kensington Palace is a royal compound where many Windsors live. William and Kate live in Apartment 1A, which covers four-stories and features 20 rooms.

The housekeeper position is currently the only job opening for the royal family. The posting notes that the location is at Kensington Palace in the “Household of TRH The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.”

They are looking for a “self-starter who also enjoys working collaboratively.” Unfortunately, they don’t specify a salary range.

To take care of a property that large, they also need someone who is “keen to take on new challenges as they arise” while developing their “own knowledge and skills.” Prince William and Kate are only accepting applications until November 7.
