Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge have been determined to press forward despite everything that has happened in the British royal family lately. The couple have emerged as the faces of the royal family following Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex’s shocking interview with Oprah Winfrey, the younger prince’s chat on the Armchair Expert podcast, and his Apple TV + series The Me You Don’t See.

Along with the death of Prince Philip, the British royal family has been dealing with quite a bit of change. And the Cambridges have been determined to put on a positive face.

Recently, Prince William shared a hilarious story about getting hit on by a much older woman.

Prince William and Kate Middleton are on a royal tour in Scotland

Prince William and Kate have embarked on their first royal tour of the year in Scotland. The pair have spent time in Edinburgh and Fife. They also make their first official visit to Orkney (which is an archipelago off the northeastern coast of Scotland).

Amid the pandemic, the Cambridges have also taken time out of their schedule to visit with frontline workers, National Health Service staff members, the military, local volunteers, and emergency workers. They also visited their alma mater St. Andrew’s University and hosted a screening of Disney’s Cruella with Emma Stone and Emma Thompon.

During the screening, the prince shared a hilarious story about being hit on.

Prince William was hit on by a 96-year-old woman

During the Cruella screening with Kate, Thompson, and Stone, Prince William shared that he’d be proposition by a 96-year-old woman who begged him for a hug despite COVID-19 rules.

“I got propositioned by a 96-year-old lady called Betty yesterday who wanted to kiss me,” he shared. “She’s in a care home with her daughter and I said ‘Betty, if I do that I’m going to get slapped on the back of the head for inappropriate social distancing’ and she said ‘I’ll have you afterwards then!’… She was a right character!”

Apparently, Betty is ready to have a hot girl summer, and she’s not going to let social distancing protocols stop her.

Kate Middleton reacted to the 96-year-old hitting on Prince William

The story was hilarious, and even Kate chimed in on Betty trying to make a move on her husband of 10 years. “This is what happens when I’m not around!” Kate laughed. Prince William responded and said, “She saw her way in.”

We doubt Kate is actually worried Betty stole Prince William’s heart. After all, the pair snuck in a date night for themselves during their tour. They had dinner at Forgan’s, which is a contemporary restaurant with a “Scottish twist” where they dressed down and enjoyed the food and each other’s company.

It looks like tons of fun was had in Scotland.
