Kenya Moore is one of the biggest stars of the hit reality show The Real Housewives of Atlanta, an entrepreneur who has been a mainstay on the show for nearly a decade. During that time, Moore has worked on a variety of other projects, including acting in other shows and even publishing a book.

One of Moore’s biggest projects was the release of her specialty hair care line, Moore Hair. While fans might be curious to learn more about Moore’s hair care line, some questions linger regarding the effectiveness of some of the products.

Moore was a huge reality star by the time she decided to launch her haircare line in 2017. In an interview with That Grape Juice, Moore admitted that curating a special haircare line was a passion project of hers, stating: “I’ve always had a passion for hair care. When I was a little girl my grandmother always said that hair was your crowning glory. That just always stuck to me my entire life and I had just developed this affinity for healthy hair.”

Moore went on to gush: “I wanted to empower other women to feel good about the hair that’s growing out of their head versus the hair they are putting on their heads so to speak.”

Moore revealed that she did a lot of research prior to officially launching Moore Hair, saying that she tested lots of different projects and ingredients in order to find out exactly what worked—and what she felt comfortable putting her name on. She also detailed in the interview how she wants the line to focus on healthy hair and hair growth, and that she encourages women to love their own natural beauty.

Do Kenya Moore’s products have good reviews?

Moore Hair features a product line of fewer than 10 individual products, from a growth repair shampoo to a restorative growth mask. The price point for the products is very affordable, with the most expensive product being the growth serum at $16.99.

Fans might have a hard time figuring out product efficacy, however. Each one of the products on the website has no more than four reviews, and all of them are five-star. With this in mind, fans who are considering trying out Moore Hair might not be able to determine any possible downsides to the products.

Also notable is the fact that most of the published reviews on the site don’t go into any details. One review, which was left for the Moore Edges Hair Follicle Stimulator, simply notes “This product is incredible! 100% recommend.”

Moore’s haircare line might be earning good reviews, but her work on RHOA often draws criticism from viewers. In fact, Moore has frequently gotten into altercations with other women on the show, calling them out for alterations to their appearance. Her habit of calling others out has earned her the nickname “shade assassin.”

Additionally, Moore has been slammed by fans for not being open about alleged plastic surgery procedures. While Moore has always maintained that she’s a natural beauty, some older photographs of the reality star have given fans pause. For many, the photos are proof enough that she has at least had some light work done. Still, for what it’s worth, Moore has always stuck to her guns and refused to give in to any plastic surgery speculations.
