Rita Ora is a talented singer and actor who has been active in the entertainment industry since 2010. In 2012, Ora rose to fame thanks to her skills as a singer, but in recent years, Ora has earned just as much acclaim for her acting work.

Known for her powerful vocal style and her ability to effortlessly sing pop and R&B, Ora is a fan-favorite celebrity who will likely be around for decades to come. In spite of her popularity, Ora has her quirks — and once, the singer opened up about one of her most outrageous phobias, a fear that actually has roots in real-life occurrences.

What is Rita Ora best known for?

Ora was born in Yugoslavia in 1980. Raised by a psychiatrist and a pub owner, Ora and her family moved to London when she was just a baby.

As she grew, she developed an interest in entertaining, going on to attend a performing arts school when she matured into a young adult. In the early 2000s, Ora began performing in nightclubs and pubs at open-mic nights, developing the skills that would later take her far.

In 2008, Ora signed her first record deal, and over the next several years, she worked with a number of major artists, all while recording songs of her own. She first rose to prominence in the United States in 2012, when her debut studio album, Ora, made waves all over the world.

Some of her best-known songs include jams like “Your Song” and “Let You Love Me.” In addition to her music work, Ora has acted in several projects, including the Fifty Shades of Grey film franchise. She has also worked as a television host and businesswoman, endorsing several high-end brands.

Ora might be a big-name celebrity, but she has the same quirks as ordinary people. When it comes to phobias, Ora has one, in particular, that a few people can probably relate to. As she once revealed to the U.K.’s Daily Star, reports People: “I always feel that when I go to the toilet that something’s going to come out of the bottom. I have this thing where I think this tunnel must start from somewhere and sometimes I think, ‘What if something comes out of the toilet?’ That’s been one of my fears. I always make sure I put the light on when I go.”

Animals have been known to attack people via the toilet

While Ora’s fear of things coming up out of the toilet might seem far-fetched, there are actually many instances of animals getting into sewer lines and bursting out of toilets. One notable incident in 1999 involved a rat that had reportedly crawled through city sewer lines to eventually jump up through a toilet and bite the woman who was sitting on it.

Rats are one of the most common offenders in this type of attack, but snakes have also been known to attack people via the toilet as well. In 2011, a woman had problems flushing her toilet, only to eventually notice a large black snake slither out of it — apparently, it had been causing the annoying clog.

Ultimately, while these incidents are not totally unheard of, it is still relatively rare to experience an animal attack through the toilet.
