Rumer Willis is not feeling the baby fever, but her family is. During a previous guest host appearance on The Talk, Rumer shared with her co-hosts that her famous family, which includes parents Demi Moore and Bruce Willis, pressed her about having a baby.

Rumer is the oldest of Bruce’s five daughters and he apparently is really gunning for Rumer to have a son, if and when she decides to have children.

Is Rumer Willis single?

Rumer made clear during her appearance on the daytime talk show that she won’t have kids until she’s built a strong foundation with a partner first. (She was photographed walking arm-in-arm with Armie Hammer in September, sparking romance rumors, but neither Rumer nor Armie has confirmed any relationship.)

“I think it’s so important not to rush in and have it be about the lust or about, you know, that immediate connection, then building a real foundation,” the actor shared.

Despite wanting to wait before she starts her own family, Rumer said her dad put pressure on her during the coronavirus (COVID-19) quarantine.

“Even my dad puts pressure on me,” she said. “Over the quarantine he was like, ‘So I’d like for you to have a son because I need some male energy in this group.'”

Rumer and her sisters, Scout Willis and Tallulah Willis, quarantined with Demi and Bruce during the pandemic. Bruce also shares two daughters—Mabel and Evelyn—with his wife, Emma Heming Willis, who quarantined elsewhere.

“It’s a lot of women, obviously,” Rumer continued. “He has five daughters and my mom and my stepmom. There’s just a lot of female energy. Even then, I’m like, OK, I want to make sure who I do that with.”

Rumer Willis has a big family

The Once Upon A Time… In Hollywood alum then joked that if and when she does have a son, Bruce will claim him.

“But even still, if I have a son, I guarantee you guys, my dad would somehow try to come in and kidnap him, hijack the child, try and take him away,” she quipped.

If the former Dancing With The Stars winner does have children in the future, they will be joining a large, blended family. Amicable exes Demi and Bruce were married from 1987 to 2000, but remain close friends. Demi and Emma, Rumer’s stepmother, also consider each other to be family. The two moms frequently share family photos on Instagram that include the other.

In fact, they both took time to celebrate each other on their respective birthdays this year. On Emma’s 42nd birthday on June 18, Demi and Rumer joined in on the festivities. Emma shared a family photo from the happy day on Instagram, which showed the Ghost actress holding a dog and Rumer sitting with her 6-year-old sister, Evelyn, in her lap.

On Demi’s birthday on Nov. 11, Emma shared a selfie of her and Bruce on her Instagram Story. The photo showed the married couple of 10 years holding copies of Demi’s memoir, Inside Out, with the caption, “Happy birthday @demimoore. We adore you!”

No doubt the Willis family will all be elated to welcome another member, should Rumer choose to have children in the future.
