This article contains spoilers from the most recently released episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race season 12. Read at your own risk, squirrel friends!

The mini and max challenges are inspired by ‘Drag Race Live’ in Las Vegas

Just as the queens are heading back to the Werk Room, the power goes out. The queens joke that it’s actually the ghost of Heidi, who wouldn’t even give them the chance to erase her message on the mirror. No matter, they head to the Untucked Lounge for a little and erase the message the following day.

When it’s time for the mini-challenge, the contestants put on their best Vegas strip characters, with 30 minutes to make a headdress and get into quick drag. The most memorable part is, probably, Jackie “meeping” as Crystal calls it. Gigi Goode is the winner of the challenge, though, and receives a trip to Las Vegas to watch Drag Race Live!

Speaking of Drag Race Live, it’s time for another Rusical, this one inspired by the live show in Las Vegas. The queens must write their own raps and perform in a number of songs for their place in the Top Four — and there will only be four in the finale.

The queens rehearse and perform the Rusical

While they’re all getting their raps ready, the one who seems to be struggling the most is Crystal. She tells Gigi that’s she’s having trouble with the beat of the song, but later shares that she doesn’t exactly know about her lyrics, either. Then, they have to record the song on the mainstage.

We were getting some serious Madonna-Rusical vibes from some of the performers, but it mostly goes well. The guest says that Gigi is giving a 3/10 and she amps it up quickly. Crystal is not exactly a singer, but she “makes time for moments.” Jackie, on the other hand, needs to let go a little.

And Jaida, poor Jaida, is really getting into her head. In her confessional, she shares that she’s afraid of bombing. When it’s time to rehearse the dance, they’re all at about the same level. They get through it though!

The top performers do their ‘Drag Race Live’ challenge

The queens head to the Werk Room on elimination day and after sipping on some cocktails, they get ready for the Rusical. They briefly talk about their first impressions and Jackie shares that she thought Gigi was a costume queen because of her entrance. Gigi is a little dumbfounded.

“Costume,” she says during her confessional. “That was a lewk.”

It’s time for the performance and the queens start off singing and dancing in their entrance looks. Then, they do a number about looking in the mirror, all dressed in white. The final song is about how “losing is the new winning,” and they leave no question in the judge’s minds that they’re all, “still that b*tch.” Everyone does a great job, making RuPaul’s next decision even harder.

On the runway, the category is Eleganza Extravaganza

After the Rusical, he queens come in some of their best drag. Crystal comes as a blue genie, Gigi has an 80s prom-inspired look, Jackie is sporting a huge bow dress with blue hair, and Jaida comes in a gorgeous floor-length gold gown.

When it’s time to deliberate, RuPaul and the judges have difficulty picking queens for the bottom. She decides to take the “report card” aka their track record into account. Gigi Goode is the winner of this week’s challenge. She and Jaida are both safe and official members of the Top Four. That means Crystal Methyd and Jackie Cox are in the bottom.

After a lipsync to “On the Floor” by Jennifer Lopez and Pitbull, Crystal Methyd stays, making her the final member of the “Top Four.” That means Jackie Cox sashayed away. Next week is the reunion and then fans will finally see if Crystal Methyd, Gigi Goode, or Jaida Essence Hall will snatch the crown.
