‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ season 13 has its final four contestants

Rosé says it’s sad that Olivia Lux left, but it’s finally time for the final four. The queens compare challenge wins and Gottmik shares that she’s super happy she’s never been in the bottom two and Rosé agrees. Kandy isn’t bothered. She’s still ready to snatch the crown.

After some wig swapping, the queens get out of drag and ready for a new day. After the title sequence, the queens learn what their maxi-challenge is. RuPaul shares that they’ll be performing, singing, and writing original verses for the world premiere of the song “Lucky.”

They all break apart to work on lyrics and Rosé and Gottmik are both sporting metallic jackets. A “foreshadow,” if you will, according to Gottmik. Rosé wants to do a rap moment, while Gottmik wants to do a very “cutesy” moment. Kandy Muse noticed that whenever there had been a singing challenge, she’s landed in the bottom. She won’t let that happen again.

The season 13 queens do their interviews with RuPaul and Michelle Visage

Gottmik is the first to have her chat with RuPaul and Visage. She shares that she went to high school in Phoenix and the secret behind her drag name. She even gets some laughs from the judges.

Rosé is next. She talks about her musical history and her parents. Her ultimate dream is to be on Broadway as Rosé. Or be on the radio with Stephanie’s Child, either works.

Kandy sashays to the runway and talks about her pocket dress, as well as her drag name. Symone is the last to be interviewed and she discusses the House of Avalon. She also mentioned her move to Los Angeles and her “inner saboteur.”

The ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ contestants rehearse with Jamal Sims

After their interviews, the queens head to the runway to work with Jamal Sims. Symone is ready to channel her “in drag” energy when she’s out of drag. Gottmik is excited to actually learn without counting.

Kandy has something to prove because the last time she was in front of Sims, she was in the bottom two. Rosé is a perfectionist and that doesn’t exactly help when she’s asked to put some “swag” into her choreography.

Then, it’s the queens’ last time getting ready in the Werk Room. Gottmik isn’t ready to leave but she is ready to win. The contestants discuss their first impressions. Although Symone started off quiet, she shares in her confessional that she finally loves herself.

It’s time for the final maxi-challenge! The contestants perform their original verses for RuPaul’s single, “Lucky,” complete with choreography, a rap from Rosé, and plenty of charisma from Kandy Muse. Then, the queens walk the runway in their best drag.

The judges share their final critiques and RuPaul even cries while talking about Gottmik’s parents. RuPaul then asks the contestants to talk to their younger selves.

Most of the judges’ reactions are positive, but RuPaul still has all four of the contestants lip-sync “for their life.” To make it interesting, they perform one at a time to “I Learned from the Best” by Whitney Houston. Not to worry, though. All four queens made it to the finale.
