Monique Heart is a ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ legend

Heart was originally on season 10 of RuPaul’s Drag Race. She gained a legion of fans due to her big personality. Despite not winning any challenges, she placed high once and ended up nabbing 8th place overall.

She was brought immediately back to the franchise for All Stars 4, where she proved her drag had elevated quickly and she could compete with the best. She was a formidable competitor, winning three main challenges and placing high in another one. She also participated in two face-offs for Lip Sync for Your Life and/or Lip Sync for Your Legacy, winning two of them.

She was one of the runner-ups for All Stars 4 with Naomi Smalls while Trinity the Tuck and Monét X Change both won in the first double-crowning in franchise history.

A lot of fans believe she should have shared the double-crowning with Trinity the Tuck

Because Heart had one of the best track records during the season, many fans believe she should have won.

“I don’t think there was any queen who was robbed in all stars as much as monique heart,” said one fan.

Another fan said, “Monique Heart should have won both Miss Congeniality in S10 & (with how things turned out to be) the crown in All Stars 4.”

Many people say she was at least worthy of the double-crowning during All Stars 4 instead of Monét X Change. “Monique Heart should’ve tied/ won All Stars 4 instead of Monet X Change. Y’all ready to have that conversation,” tweeted one person.

Aside from Heart, other queens that are often called “robbed” in the fandom from All Stars 4 are Manilla Luzon and Smalls. A lot of fans also think that Heart was robbed in season 10 and should have advanced further.

Here’s what she says about her ‘All Stars 4’ showing

In an interview with Billboard shortly after the All Stars 4 finale, Heart spoke about season 10, her performance on All Stars and which moments she was proud of the most.

“I knew I could win season ten and the only reason I didn’t get there is because the Butterfly Killer had a better mermaid costume,” she said. “That’s the only reason I didn’t get to the finale last time. This time, it was different. You clearly saw that I walked in looking like money and the b****h delivered.”

She said all of the moments in the season in which she was robbed are the ones that she’s proud of. “Those are my most proud moments. Write that,” she told the publication. “I mean, the brown cow was stunning, you know? I loved my Josephine Baker even though Michelle Visage said no to the thing. I tried to really give a strong, beautiful, black representation honoring our culture. It bugs me that they’re not living for it, but the fandom sure did.”

Heart’s most recent appearance in the Drag Race franchise was when she was a mentor for Celebrity Drag Race season 1.
