RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars is a second chance for the contestants. It allows queens to show more of what they have to offer. However, in some cases, controversial queens have the opportunity to have a redemption arc. Silky Nutmeg Ganache certainly achieved that in All Stars 6. The crown is the primary goal for many queens. However, others are more excited by the chance to show their personal and artistic growth. All Stars would certainly benefit from having Denali.

Denali, the self-proclaimed ‘dance and ice queen’

Denali is a drag queen known for her impressive background as a professional figure skater. She starred on RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 13 and became a fan favorite. Unfortunately, the makeover challenge on episode 10 eliminated her. She ultimately made it to eighth place. The makeover challenge landed her in the bottom with her challenge partner, Olivia Lux.

Denali’s iconic lip-syncs will always be remembered, as she displayed that she’s a real threat on the main stage. Trixie Mattel had her as a guest on The Pit Stop to discuss RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 6 Episode 10. Denali is a fitting guest for this particular episode, given the featured lip-sync smackdown that took place. She explained what makes a successful lip-syncer.

“I think what makes a lip-sync great is embodying that particular style,” the ice queen stated. “So, okay, you might be a dancer. You might be a this or that, but what if you get a gospel song? Or, what if you get a country song, or something of any sort? It’s really just about embodying it.”

Interviewers tend to ask queens about their interest in All Stars after their season airs. In fact, the question is even asked of queens who haven’t been on the show for years. Trixie beamed with excitement when talking about Denali’s season 13 finale look, so the question doesn’t seem too out of bounds coming from her.

Denali was up for the question. “I would love to be on an All Stars season one day,” she responded. “I definitely want to take my time, you know? We were a pandemic season, I want to my money, I want to travel, I want to grow, I want to blossom. But, I definitely would love to come back.”

When she does decide to return back to RuPaul’s Drag Race, those other queens better watch out for the ‘dance and ice queen.’ Many fans believe that she left too early on season 13, so this would give her another shot to show more of her drag and performance talent.

RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 13 was filmed and aired during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Additional factors were at play when shooting their season.
