The phenomenon of Harry Potter has affected the stars in different ways. Some of them have watched the movies while others can’t watch them. Rupert Grint, who played Ron Weasley, explained why he has watched only one of the movies.

Some ‘Harry Potter’ stars have seen the movies

Some Harry Potter stars aren’t against watching the movies. Tom Felton, who played Draco Malfoy, watched Sorcerer’s Stone on March 2 on a live-stream for Peacock’s TikTok account.

“I’ve seen bits and pieces when they’re on TV and when my friends turn it on and send me videos of it,” Felton said during a Q&A, according to SYFY. “But actually, watching the entire film…I’ve never really watched them in one sitting.”

“The only reason I haven’t seen them in their entirety is that I was saving [the experience] for being with my own kids or [letting] enough time elapse for me to be able to not be too critical,” he explained.

Daniel Radcliffe, who played Harry Potter, has watched the movies. He revealed what he noticed about Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

“I’m just not very good in it,” he said in a Playboy interview, according to Marie Claire. “I hate it…my acting is very one-note and I can see I got complacent and what I was trying to do just didn’t come across. My best film is the fifth one [Order of the Phoenix] because I can see a progression.”

How Rupert Grint Really Feels About Being Ron Weasley In ‘Harry Potter’

Many actors avoid watching their own work. So it’s not a surprise that Grint also hasn’t watched most of the movies. He was a guest on the Armchair Expert podcast and revealed which movie he’s seen.

“I don’t watch them. I’ve seen the first one maybe twice now and once quite recently. But I haven’t really watched any of the others,” he said. “It still feels too soon. I can’t really detach myself fully. I can’t face it.”

Grint explained why he struggles with watching the movies. “It made me so conscious of my face, of like what I’m doing. And I can almost feel myself doing things and from then I kinda stopped doing it,” he said. “I like being in the moment and creating it and just leaving it.”

The actor also said he hates watching interviews of himself. He’s also not a fan of all his looks for the movies.

“My hair in film four is one of my biggest regrets,” he revealed. That’s when his hair was shoulder-length. If he ever gets around to watching Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire that might be another hurdle for him to enjoy it. For now, it doesn’t seem like he plans to do that any time soon.
