Sassy, smart, and easily identifiable due to her bright red hair, Sink quickly became a star. These days, as a mainstay in the Stranger Things universe, the actor is doing better than ever — and exploring a wealth of new opportunities. In late 2021, Sadie Sink appeared in the featured role in Taylor Swift’s short film for her song “All Too Well (10 Minute Version).” And in a recent interview, the actor opened up about how it felt to work with Swift and escape the character of Max temporarily.

Sadie Sink is well known for playing Max in ‘Stranger Things’

Sadie Sink made her television debut in 2013, according to IMDb, when she appeared in the TV series The Americans. She soon appeared in several other TV productions, including Blue Bloods and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, before landing her breakout role in Stranger Things Season 2.

As Max, a quiet, reserved child from an abusive household, Sink has had to run the gamut of emotions. Ultimately, she succeeded in making Max one of the most beloved characters in the series. In the latest season of Stranger Things, Sink has even more screentime, as Max deals with the traumatic loss of her stepbrother, Billy.

Even with her hard work in Stranger Things, Sink found time to participate in other projects. In late 2021, she delighted fans when she appeared in Taylor Swift’s All Too Well: The Short Film. Fans highly anticipated the re-recorded version of the fan-favorite Swift song. Swift dove deep into every aspect of the project, even directing the music video.

The music video details the development of an intense love affair, with the young girl played by Sink and her boyfriend portrayed by Dylan O’Brien. Ultimately, the up and down relationship falls apart, and both young people move on. The song “All Too Well” illustrates all the important moments of their time together.

In a recent interview with Glamour UK, Sink opened up about her experience working with Swift. The actor revealed always wanted to work with Swift but never thought it would be possible. “She’s such an incredible human being and so smart, so grounded. Just everything you’d want her to be. And just as a friend, as a director, as a mentor it’s really incredible to have her,” Sink noted.

“That experience was really, really special. And yeah, it was kind of a cool opportunity to step out of being a kid on screen,” the actor revealed. “Of course, [“All Too Well” is] such an iconic song, and the way she brought that to life on screen was really special. So it was an honor to be a part of it.” Up next for Sink, the final episodes of the fourth season of Stranger Things, which premiere on Netflix in July.
