Nicole Ari Parker

Nicole Ari Parker earned fans for her roles in Showtime’s Soul Food and the film, Brown Sugar. She’s also been in Murder in the First, Empire, Younger, and How It Ends. And she’s done a recent stint on Chicago P.D.

She and her famous husband Boris Kodjoe are both beloved actors, and fans are excited to see her as one of the new characters in the Sex and the City spinoff. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Parker plays a woman named Lisa Todd Wexley, “a documentarian and Park Avenue mother of three.” She’s already been captured filming scenes in New York.

Karen Pittman

Like Parker, Karen Pittman also has an extensive and impressive resume. She’s been in The Americans, Netflix’s Luke Cage, Homeland, Madam Secretary, and the ever-popular Yellowstone. Most recently, Pittman’s starred in Apple TV+’s The Morning Show as Mia Harris. She has a history of playing no-nonsense characters, and in And Just Like That…, viewers can catch her as Dr. Nya Wallace.

This doctor is a professor at Columbia Law School, and it makes us wonder if she’ll be part of the core friend group or acting as a legal advisor to Carrie Bradshaw. Word on the street is Carrie’s going through a tough divorce from Mr. Big.

Sarita Choudhury

Per THR, Sarita Choudhury’s character Seema Patel is described as “a self-made, powerhouse Manhattan real estate broker.” Put it together, and Seema may hold the key to how Carrie, Charlotte, Miranda, or any of their past and present beaus forge new beginnings.

Coincidentally, Choudhury has several acting credits in common with Pittman. She too has been in Homeland and Madam Secretary. The actor’s film and television roles include Mississippi Masala, Lady in the Water, and Little Fires Everywhere.

In addition to welcoming Parker, Pittman, and Choudhury to the cast, OGs Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis have shouted out Sara Ramirez of Grey’s Anatomy fame. According to Deadline, Ramirez’s character has ties to Carrie and her podcast.
