Usually, you have to wait until the summer for Shark Week, Discovery Channel’s all-sharks, all-the-time programming block. But the network is bringing back Shark Week for a special “Shark Week in a Weekend” binge-athon to keep you entertained during your coronavirus lockdown.

‘Shark Week in a Weekend’ starts April 4

Discovery’s #SharkWeekEND kicks off Saturday, April 4 at 9 a.m. ET/PT and runs through Sunday, April 5 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. The marathon will feature fan-favorite episodes as well as a rebroadcast of 2019’s scripted Shark Week original film Capsized: Blood in the Water starring Josh Duhamel. The based-on-a-true-story movie is about a group of friends whose boat capsizes in stormy weather in the Atlantic, turning them into prey for a group of tiger sharks.

Discovery will also check in with Shark After Dark sidekick Bob the Shark, who is also feeling the effects of coronavirus isolation.

“I’m a shark. And sharks fear nothing. After a few weeks of home-isolation with my family, I stand corrected,” the toothy late-night star said.
