Sister Wives fans called out Robyn Brown for walking back on a statement she had previously made about having the “right” to leave a polygamist marriage. In a social media post, fans cited a previous clip from the TLC series. There, Robyn addressed the topic of wives and Kody Brown leaving their union if they chose to. However, this seemed to be in direct contrast to the second installment of the Sister Wives Tell-All, where Robyn claimed she wished Kody’s ex-wife Christine had “decided to keep trying” to save her marriage of 25 years.

Some ‘Sister Wives’ Fans Question Why Meri Brown Can’t Find a New Love Instead of Kody Brown and Keep a Relationship With Her Family

Christine Brown confirmed the end of her marriage to Kody during part 2 of the ‘Sister Wives’ Tell-All

During the second part of the season-ender, Christine confirmed that she and Kody are divorced. In November, she left Kody, sharing an Instagram post that confirmed their split.

The former couple wed, spiritually not legally, in 1994 and share six kids — Aspyn, Mykelti, Gwendlyn, Ysabel, Truely, and Paedon.

Robyn Brown claimed she wished Christine would have ‘kept trying’ with Kody

In a sit-down interview with tell-all host, Sukanha Krishnan, Robyn admitted she wished Christine “decided to keep trying” in her marriage with Kody.

“Technically, in my head, they’re not divorced because their marriage was done by our church officials. They haven’t granted them a divorce,” Robyn explained.

Christine subsequently countered with, “In our church, polygamous women can leave. They are not trapped. However, I haven’t been a member of that church [the AUB} for a long time. I don’t really care. I think that God’s fine if I just want to be happy.”

‘Sister Wives’ fans called out Robyn Brown for walking back on a previous statement regarding polygamy

In a Reddit post titled “The Time Robyn said THIS about leaving a marriage,” Sister Wives fans called Kody’s fourth wife out for appearing to walk back on a previous statement regarding polygamy.

“I know what it is to be in a marriage and not want to be in that marriage anymore,” Robyn stated.

“But I think we should all have the right and freedom to leave,” she continued. “Even Kody.”

However, fans were quick to point out that it appeared Robyn was inconsistent in her commentary.

“Doesn’t it stink when people can look back at everything you’ve said and see the staggering inconsistency of your behaviour, Robyn???” penned one Reddit user in the comments thread.

“She needs to be shown that clip in the tell all,” wrote a second viewer.

“The ‘Even Kody’ with her shrug and frown that dips down to her ankles. I think she was laying ground work for Kody to tell those other b***hes to kick rocks. The whole season before Covid Kody walking talking about how he hated plural marriage and I think he was going to break up his family anyway. Covid just beat him to the punch,” claimed a third social media follower.

“Yup I believe she thinks Christine has just given up on a perfectly good man and if she could just endure his will a little more blindly everything will be fine,” posted a fourth Reddit user.

The third and final installment of the Sister Wives Tell-All will air on Feb. 20.

Sister Wives airs Sundays at 10 p.m. EST on TLC.
