Snoop Dogg Says a Collaboration With BTS Is ‘Official Like a Referee With a Whistle’

It appears a collaboration with Snoop Dogg and BTS is in the works. In a recent interview with The A.V. Club, Snoop Dogg shared that the collaboration with BTS is officially happening. It is unclear when the collaboration will be released. However, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook of BTS are expected to release an album at some point in 2022.

Snoop Dogg says he will collaborate with BTS

In January, Snoop Dogg previously hinted that he could work with BTS. The rapper appeared on the podcast Mogul Talk and revealed that BTS’ team reached out to him about working on something together.

“I got a group named BTS that’s waiting on me to do a song with them right now,” Snoop Dogg shared. “And I’m trying to figure out if I got time to do that s***.”

It appears Snoop Dogg found the time to work with BTS, as he confirmed the collaboration to The A.V. Club on the red carpet for American Song Contest.

“The BTS experience you keep talking about. I’m going to let them tell you about it. It’s official like a referee with a whistle. I love that entertainment world. It’s good music. It’s [a] vibe. I make good music. They make good music. And we end up doing this. This is what it’s always about, bringing our worlds together,” Snoop Dogg told The A.V. Club.

“We just wanted to make people happy with our music,” Jungkook said. “We believe that this award opens the beginning of our new chapter.”

Following BTS’ Permission to Dance On Stage – LA concerts in December 2021, Big Hit Music announced that Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook would take a short vacation.

In the statement, Big Hit Music also shared that BTS planned to release an album sometime in 2022.

“BTS will be focusing on preparing for the concert and release of the new album that will mark the beginning of a ‘new chapter,’” wrote Big Hit Music. “They are preparing for a concert this coming March to connect and communicate with the fans in-person in Seoul.”
