Source says Kim Kardashian is in good spirits amid divorce

Kim filed divorce paperwork in February 2021. The filing came amid speculation that Mr. and Mrs. West both came to the decision to split. Rumors spread for months that a divorce was imminent – but the former couple were working out a custody agreement and division of assets.

Though sources say Kim tried everything to salvage her seven-year marriage, a split made sense. The couple reportedly grew apart due to lifestyle differences and Kanye’s increased public rants.

Now, Kim is reportedly happy to be moving forward without Kanye. A source tells E! News that Kim is blissful.

“Kim is having a lot of fun right now. She feels free and is a lot happier,” the source claims. “It’s a new era for Kim. She has been loving going out with friends, meeting new people, and really being out and about again.”

The source also says that dating is possibly on Kim’s radar. “She doesn’t want anything serious anytime soon but she’s been liking connecting with people.”

Kim’s family is also said to be happy to see Kim beaming. “Her sisters have been joking with her about how much happier she seems,” the source adds. “They are all glad she’s in a better place now.”

One person who Kim can always count on is her momager, Kris Jenner. Jenner is no stranger to divorce, with two under her belt. She says Kim’s sole priority throughout this process has to be her and Kanye’s four children.

“I think the most important thing I learned through my experience, both of my experiences, is that the kids come first,” Jenner told WSJ Magazine’s The One. “If you keep that in the front of your mind and know that they are going to get you through, the love is going to get you through, you know, no matter how much you’re hurting. I used to put everybody to bed, and then I would be upset or go to my room and cry myself to sleep. But I didn’t want to have a pity party in front of the kids.”

Kanye West is reportedly upset regarding biased media coverage

Though Kim seems to be getting along fine, Kanye is said to be furious with the media coverage surrounding their divorce. He reportedly says the idea that Kim is the one who pulled the plug is false.

A source tells Page Six, “Actually, it was him saying for a year that they have nothing in common except the kids and he wanted out. She pulled all the stops to try to save the marriage.”

The source alleges Kanye allowed Kim to file to “give her a sense of dignity.”
