Rest assured, Kevin Feige will find out who the culprit is behind the Spider-Man trailer leak. Marvel fans on Twitter, TikTok, Reddit and other social media apps discovered a seemingly legit — but unfinished — Spider-Man: No Way Home film clip that is spreading like wildfire. And it has the internet buzzing.

Pirated ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’ trailer hits social media

A number of movie fans viewed a pirated version for Marvel’s latest Spider-Man 3 trailer, and jaws are on the floor. Someone made a grainy video of a phone recording that’s making the rounds on Twitter, Tik-Tok, and the like, but don’t look for the any parts of the two-minute trailer here. Marvel is notoriously secretive about its projects, and even its stars know they’re supposed to be tight-lipped. Just ask Tom Holland.

Online, some are joking that Feige dispatched snipers to root out the source of the leak. Twitter users warn whoever posted it to take the footage down. Some fans refuse to watch it because they don’t want to ruin the surprise, but others want to avoid it out of respect for those who worked on the movie.

Some social media users believe Marvel should have released a Spidey trailer in August or earlier when Black Widow arrived. As it stands, Kevin Feige, Sony, and Spider-Man are ruling Twitter as trending topics at the time of this writing.

When is Marvel’s ‘Spider-Man 3’ due out?

The film is slated for a December 2021 release with Tom Holland, Zendaya, Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, Jamie Foxx as Electro, and Alfred Molina as Doc Ock confirmed in the cast. All other wish list characters are unverified speculation.

However, there are rumors that the drop date could get postponed given that the studio has been mum about the movie’s marketing. Coupled with pandemic-related delays, it is anyone’s guess.

Days after igniting its fandom with the Eternals trailer, Marvel hooked fans in with the prospect that the official Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer is on its way too. But, the studio has turned up the anticipation factor with its mysterious ways, and now people are wondering if the company will cave to leak’s pressure.

‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ fan theories center on past characters

For months, Spidey fans have been sharing theories about which comic book storylines the new movie will pull from and which characters will pop up. Many argue that based on the cliffhanger in Far From Home, it’s the perfect time for Daredevil‘s Matt Murdock to appear. Won’t Peter Parker need legal help?

Others posit that previous incarnations of the web slinger will show up as Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, or even Shameik Moore’s Miles Morales. Because Spider-Man has so many adversaries in the comics, it’s possible for multiple villains to gather in No Way Home. It’s an ideal set-up for the MCU and future Phase 4 and 5 projects, according to fans.

In the meantime, viewers can gear up for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings starring Simu Liu. The movie arrives in theaters on Sept. 3 followed by Eternals on Nov. 5. Watch out for Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness in March 2022.
