Charles Dickens is undoubtedly one of the most famous writers in history. The English author wrote A Christmas Carol way back in 1843. The novella is a classic story and has seen numerous adaptions including both plays and series.

The story surrounds Ebenezer Scrooge, a miserable, greedy man. An old business partner surprisingly visits the miser along with several other ghosts who try and help him. He comes to change his ways and vows to treat everyone with kindness and generosity from now on.

The upcoming film, starring Ferrell and Reynolds, will adapt the novella with a slight twist. Rather than simply telling the story, the movie will instead be a modern musical re-imagining.
