‘Summer House’: Paige DeSorbo and Hannah Berner Have 2 Theories About Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker’s Engagement

Everyone is talking about Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker’s engagement, including other celebrities. Paige DeSorbo and Hannah Berner from the Bravo reality TV show Summer House shared their theories about the couple’s engagement.

Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker got engaged on Oct. 17

After less than a year of dating, Barker proposed to Kardashian on a beach at the Rosewood Miramar Beach hotel. The drummer led Kardashian to the center of an elaborate display of roses and candles, where he proposed with a huge oval cut diamond on a simple band. The ring is estimated to be worth $1 million. 

Kardashian posted pictures from the proposal on her Instagram and captioned them, “forever.” Friends, fans, and family members of the famous couple have been congratulating them and celebrating their love on social media.

Hannah Berner and Paige DeSorbo from ‘Summer House’ have some conspiracy theories about the engagement

Paige DeSorbo and Hannah Berner from Bravo’s Summer House share a podcast called “Giggly Squad.” They discuss their TV show, social media trends, pop culture, and what’s going on in their lives. 

On the most recent episode, which came out on Tuesday, Oct. 19, the two reality stars shared their theories about Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian’s engagement.  

“I have a full ‘konspiracy’ theory with a ‘k,’” Berner said. “Do you know the story about two days ago about Kourtney going berserk on an airplane?… Everyone picked it up, and it was very like, that she was bratty, that she had a freakout. The Kardashians responded and were like, ‘this is so not true.’ 

“But apparently, [Travis Barker] lost his phone in between the seats in business class when they were flying from New York. Also, people were starting to give her bad press because they were like, ‘why would she not post about Kim when she was on SNL when everyone else did,’ and then, ‘she only posted about Travis when he was on SNL,’ so there was just like weird energy going around.

“… Long story short, a scene was had, and it was talked about. So, my theory is that Kris Jenner picks up the phone, and she goes, ‘Travis, I know you’re planning on proposing. We need you to do it today. We cannot have more, like, negative energy towards this, and it needs to stop the story right now.’”

Berner’s co-host fired back with a theory of her own. 

“Okay, so my conspiracy theory is that when they were in Vegas, and everyone was writing those like congratulations, and like, those cryptic messages – I think they got engaged in Vegas by themselves, with their friends and family,” DeSorbo speculated. “I think this engagement is purely for the TV show.”

DeSorbo was likely referring to a series of photos Kardashian posted on Instagram on July 11. The pictures show Kardashian and Barker in what appears to be a hotel in Las Vegas. She captioned the images, “what happens in Vegas.”

Kourtney Kardashian allegedly freaked out over a lost phone on a flight days before her engagement to Travis Barker

The story Berner was talking about in her theory came out on Oct. 15, just two days before Barker and Kardashian’s engagement. 

The couple was flying in business class from Los Angeles to New York when Barker lost his phone in between the seats just before takeoff.

According to Page Six, a passenger on the flight said, “Kardashian started ‘frantically searching’ for the phone and demanded ‘five more minutes’ when the flight attendant asked her to take her seat.”

The passenger said, “She got into a bit of a kerfuffle and was quite bratty. She was not nice and was very much acting like a child.”

It’s easy to see why Berner would think that the Kardashians want this story buried by news of the engagement.
