Paige DeSorbo said because newcomer Alex Wach was so nice and relaxed, he had no storyline on Summer House, which is why he was edited out of the last several episodes.

Fans begged to know why Wach was MIA from the last few episodes and no one on the cast acknowledged his absence during episodes of the show. DeSorbo said there were simply too many cast members with too many wild storylines.

Why isn’t Alex Wach on ‘Summer House’ right now?

“So Alex … ugh he’s so cute,” DeSorbo said on the Morning Toast podcast. She first confirmed that Wach attended the Summer House reunion but then addressed why he got zero camera time lately. “The thing is there were so many of us, this year. And we’re all camera whores.”

In addition to three new cast members this season, Austen Kroll and Craig Conover make ongoing guest appearances on the show, which added to the group. “So when things are happening, they just don’t have enough camera people to follow everyone,” she explained.

“So it’s like the main stories got followed,” she continued. “And he’s like so nice that he wasn’t screaming at anyone.”

Will Alex Wach return to ‘Summer House’?

Wach only appeared in a handful of episodes toward the beginning of Summer House Season 6. Once Conover started making regular appearances, followed by Kroll’s episodes, Wach essentially vanished.

Kyle Cooke backed up DeSorbo’s remarks. “It’s happened in the past and IMO has nothing to do with production not wanting to pay their episodic fee,” he shared on the Bravo Historian Instagram account via US Weekly. “Again, this is speculation, but it’s likely because there was so much going on and production wasn’t following them. From a producers perspective it probably seems even weirder to have a cast member there and get no camera time than to edit them out.”

Lindsay Hubbard told US Weekly that Wach definitely returns on screen. “I love Alex,” she said. “I know Alex gets a lot of heat because he has this strict personal routine and eats ground turkey for breakfast. But once Alex kind of came out of his shell, he was really fun and funny to be around. He will come back. You will see him.”

Other cast members have gotten edited out

Wach maintained a pretty good sense of humor about not being on the show. He shared a few memes referring to his absence from Summer House in his Instagram stories. He also shared a clip of an upcoming episode that proves he returns.

Wach may not be sweating it, but Cooke shared on Instagram that he is “not saying it’s right” about the edit. However, “It has happened several times to a lot of cast members.”

“Last episode had 11 cast and 3 guests if you included Jason,” he said, referring to Winter House cast member Jason Cameron. “And as we all know, last episode had a ton of moving pieces and there was just too many people to follow.”

Cooke also wished Wach a happy birthday and reassured fans he’ll be back.  “I feel like the entire internet needs reassurance you’re coming back next episode, so without further ado, swipe for God’s gift to fireball shots: Alex’s abs,” she shared on Instagram. Hubbard added, “He came back and he came back HOT.”

During the podcast, DeSorbo added that the season had way too many storylines this season, like the breakout fight scene between Danielle Olivera and Ciara Miller.
