Survivor fans are left to guess what’s going on in the jury in season 42. But Omar Zaheer let it slip that Ponderosa was uncomfortable because of his big moves against other players.

Omar Zaheer made some enemies on ‘Survivor 42’

Omar had an excellent social game and spotted others who also had a lot of allies. He orchestrated a vote to get out Hai Giang when he got the chance. He did this by telling Hai’s closest ally, Mike Turner, that Hai called him a puppet, which didn’t happen.

Omar put a target on Drea Wheeler. She told him about her advantage in stealing an idol, and that she planned to use it on Mike. Omar told Mike, who gave him the idol, to keep it safe. Drea tried to use her advantage, and since Omar had it, it was unsuccessful, and she had her torch snuffed. Drea immediately told everyone else that Omar was the only one she talked to about her plan.

In “Caterpillar to a Butterfly,” Omar got his own surprise at Tribal Council. Maryanne Oketch planned to use her second vote on Omar to get him out. She was successful, and that meant Omar had to face the people he betrayed.

Omar joined the jury after an interesting blindside. He told Entertainment Weekly what it was like at Ponderosa.

“I would say that my Ponderosa experience was very uncomfortable,” he said. “And um, you know, when you make moves the way that I did, you have to understand that it’s gonna come with some sort of heat.”

“I just think that for some people, it went a little bit beyond that, and it was taken to a very personal level that was beyond the game that was kind of ugly, and it was not a pleasant experience necessarily,” he continued. “I think that that was, kind of amends to, if I’m a big monster, then you didn’t do that bad of a job kind of thing. It got kind of taken a bit too far, I would say.”

Omar went on to say it was “a little bit disappointing.” He admitted to making some people too mad, so even if he wasn’t voted out, it’s hard to say if he would have won.
