Snoop Dogg has been making headlines recently and one of the reasons is because he bought Death Row Records; a label he was signed to when it was owned by Suge Knight. With his name in the news now fans are asking questions about the Doggfather and one that always comes up is: How tall is Snoop Dogg?

Here’s the answer to that and if the “Drop It Like It’s Hot” artist is the tallest rapper in the game today.

Snoop Dogg’s age and real name

Snoop Dogg was born Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr. on Oct. 20, 1971, in Long Beach, California, to parents Vernell Varnado and Beverly Tate. When he was a kid, his family gave him the nickname “Snoopy” after the character in the Peanuts comic strip.

Snoop realized his musical talents in the sixth grade when he performed a song in front of his class and then began rapping the hallways. “When I rapped in the hallways at school I would draw such a big crowd that the principal would think there was a fight going on,” he told the Los Angeles Times. “It made me begin to realize that I had a gift. I could tell that my raps interested people and that made me interested in myself.”

He recorded his debut album Doggystyle under the stage name Snoop Doggy Dogg but later dropped “Doggy.” He was also known as “Snoop Lion” for a short time.

He married his high school sweetheart, Shante Taylor, in 1997. In 2004, rumors swirled that Snoop cheated on his wife. He then filed for divorce citing “irreconcilable differences.” However, the couple decided to stay together and work things out.

Is Snoop Dogg the tallest rapper?

Snoop Dogg’s height is 6’ 4.” He isn’t the tallest rapper in the game today, but he does crack the top 10.

The title of tallest hip-hop artist goes to Yung Gravy. The Minnesota rapper, who launched his career on Soundcloud before releasing several albums and completing seven international world tours, is 6’ 6.”

“I’m Different” artist 2 Chainz is also taller than Snoop at 6′ 5.” Waka Flocka Flame and Snoop Dogg are the same height, and The Game and Machine Gun Kelly are one inch shorter at 6’ 3.”

While Snoop Dogg may not be the tallest rapper, he is one of the most intelligent. The average IQ level ranges from about 85 to 115, with a small percentage of people having an IQ around 130. Snoop’s IQ is 147.

Another little-known fact about Snoop Dogg is before he got into Gangsta rap, he sang and played piano in church. That’s right the “Murder Was the Case” artist once belted out hymns and sat at the piano during Sunday service at the Golgotha Trinity Baptist Church. Snoop’s mother was a devout Christian, who later became an ordained evangelist.
