Taylor Swift Fans Think ‘Wildest Dreams (Taylor’s Version)’ Will Be Released Soon Thanks to a New Sneak Peek

Fans of Taylor Swift can never rest knowing that the singer-songwriter could drop new material at any given time. On April 9, Swift released a re-recorded version of her 2008 album Fearless called Fearless (Taylor’s Version). Many fans suspect that the re-record of her album 1989 will drop next.

On May 17, fans’ speculations were seemingly confirmed when DreamWorks released an extended preview of “Wildest Dreams (Taylor’s Version).” The new sneak peek of “Wildest Dreams (Taylor’s Version)” arrived as part of a trailer for the upcoming animated film Spirit Untamed.

Taylor Swift fans heard the first preview of ‘Wildest Dreams (Taylor’s Version)’ in March

“Wildest Dreams” is on Swift’s album 1989. The studio album dropped in 2014 and won Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album at the 2016 Grammy Awards.

1989 had multiple singles, including “Wildest Dreams.” A music video for the song starring Swift and actor Scott Eastwood arrived in August 2015.

Then, on March 12, 2021, Swifties got a sneak peek of “Wildest Dreams (Taylor’s Version)” in a trailer for Spirit Untamed. The animated movie stars Isabela Merced, Jake Gyllenhaal, Julianne Moore, Marsai Martin, Mckenna Grace, Walton Goggins, Andre Braugher, and Eiza Gonz├ílez.

After the trailer launched, Swift expressed gratitude that the new version of her song was used to promote Spirt Untamed.

“Thank you #SpiritUntamed for using Wildest Dreams (Taylor’s Version) in your new trailer!!” Swift wrote on Facebook.

Now there’s a new sneak peek of ‘Wildest Dreams (Taylor’s Version)’

The first preview of “Wildest Dreams (Taylor’s Version)” in March gave fans a small glimpse of what to expect from the re-recording. Based on this short listen, it became clear that the new version of “Wildest Dreams” would sound even grander and more wistful than the original.

On May 17, DreamWorks released a trailer called “SPIRIT UNTAMED | ‘Wildest Dreams (Taylor’s Version)’ – Taylor Swift.” The new teaser shows clips from Spirit Untamed revolving around lyrics from “Wildest Dreams (Taylor’s Version).”

In the extended preview of the song, Swift’s voice sounds smoother and stronger than it did in the original “Wildest Dreams.” There are slight vocal differences as there were in the re-recorded songs on Fearless (Taylor’s Version). And these changes seem to have made the song better.

What some Taylor Swift fans think of ‘Wildest Dreams (Taylor’s Version)’

Because DreamWorks released the new preview of “Wildest Dreams (Taylor’s Version),” some fans suspect the song will arrive as a single in the coming weeks.

“Oooooh interesting this is from the official Spirit Untamed YT channel. We gotta be getting Wildest Dreams TV soon!!” one fan wrote on Reddit.

Another fan speculated: “Spirit untamed comes out June 4th so I can see her possibly announcing 1989 ( Taylor’s version ) on May 28. If it’s next A single from it has to be coming soon.”

Given how great “Wildest Dreams (Taylor’s Version)” sounds in a short trailer, one can only imagine how spectacular the full version will be.
