Taylor Swift’s ‘All Too Well’ short film does not drop at the same time as ‘Red (Taylor’s Version)’

Red (Taylor’s Version) will officially be released at midnight EST on Nov. 12. While All Too Well will also arrive on Nov. 12, it will not be released at the same time as the album.

On Nov. 11, Swift shared more information about All Too Well on social media.

“Shot on 35mm film with cinematography by the brilliant @the_rinayang. Plan your watch parties or grab your blanket and curl up into a ball. However you want to watch All Too Well The Short Film, it’ll be out tomorrow on YouTube at 7pm Eastern,” Swift tweeted.

Swift’s tweet also included a poster for the short film showing O’Brien and Sink touching foreheads.

Dylan O’Brien and Sadie Sink will star in ‘All Too Well’

All Too Well was originally announced on Nov. 5 in an exclusive report by Good Morning America. A trailer for All Too Well was then shared on GMA and Swift’s social media accounts.

In the short film’s trailer, a car drives down a two-lane road that is surrounded by trees with leaves changing color, signaling that the short film takes place during autumn.

Some leaves have fallen onto the road, seemingly referencing the song’s lyrics: “Oh, your sweet disposition / And my wide-eyed gaze / We’re singing in the car, getting lost upstate / Autumn leaves falling down like pieces into place / And I can picture it after all these days.”

All Too Well was written and directed by Swift, and it will star Swift, O’Brien, and Sink.

There is a 10-minute version of Taylor Swift’s song ‘All Too Well’

On the original Red album, “All Too Well” was never a single. However, it became a fan-favorite song because of its heartfelt lyrics, and the song also achieved critical acclaim. Over the years, “All Too Well” has become regarded as one of the best songs in Swift’s discography.

Ever since Swift released Red, it was known that the original version of “All Too Well” was over 10 minutes long. To create the studio version, Swift worked with songwriter Liz Rose to condense the song.

Red (Taylor’s Version) will feature multiple “From the Vault” tracks, which are songs that did not make the original version of Red in 2012. One of the “From the Vault” songs on Red (Taylor’s Version) is “All Too Well (10 Minute Version).”
