Growing up is challenging, especially for 13-year-old Mei Lee, who turns into a giant red panda whenever she gets excited. Additionally, Disney and Pixar’s Turning Red introduces viewers to the fictional boy band 4*Town, which boasts an early 2000s sound and five dreamy members.

As a singer and fan of Disney and Pixar, Fisher appears in this film as a 4*Town member. He commented on his involvement during an interview with What’s on Disney Plus.

“Asian representation – that just screams,” Fisher said. “When it was brought to me, it was ‘Something, something, Pixar. Something, Finneas. Something, Billie Eilish.’ And I said ok. It is an absolute joy to know we were all walking into something fresh and new in so many aspects.”

Who is Jordan Fisher’s character in ‘Turning Red’?

Sibling duo FINNEAS and Billie Eilish created the boy band’s music, including “1 True Love,” “U Know What’s Up,” and the group’s “hit song,” “Nobody Like U.” When it came to the voice actors for the heartthrobs, Disney and Pixar turned to Fisher.

“When you don’t hear 4*Town singing, you hear a score that is so dynamic, and so Asian inspired, and so right for this piece,” he continued. “Everything about it feels like something that has been missing for a really long time. For us to be a part of that is just a dream.”

Finneas O’Connell (FINNEAS) appears as Jesse. At the same time, Topher Ngo acts as Aaron T., Grayson Villanueva appears as Tae Young, and Josh Levi voices Aaron Z. Fisher voices the animated Turning Red character Robaire.

Although Disney initially slated this movie for a theatrical release, it became available to all Disney+ subscribers on March 11. Other Disney productions featuring Fisher are available on the streaming platform.
