The Adam Project premiered on March 11 and has received mostly positive reviews, thus far. While not changing the game in any way, the film has a 69% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes and a 79% from audiences. Directed by Shawn Levy, The Adam Project stars Reynolds as Adam Reed, a time-traveling pilot who crashes in 2022. He encounters his 12-year-old self (walker Scobell) and the two go to recruit their father (Mark Ruffalo) on a mission to save the future.

One aspect that many critics are praising The Adam Project for is its heart. It focuses a lot on Adam’s relationship with both his father and mother (Jennifer Garner) and this leads to plenty of sweet moments. Apparently, these moments are so sweet that it even causes people to cry, such as Krasinski himself.

John Krasinski shares that he ‘shed tears’ while watching ‘The Adam Project’

Krasinski recently took to Twitter to share his thoughts on The Adam Project. He is unafraid to admit that he cried while watching it and congratulates Reynolds on the film.

“Were tears shed while watching #TheAdamProject this weekend?” Krasinski writes.  “That’s classified… but yes. Congratulations and thank you @VancityReynolds you went back in time… and brought back my childhood.”

Reynolds has shared in many interviews that The Adam Project is a throwback to 80s family adventure films such as E.T., Back to the Future, and The Goonies, so it isn’t surprising that Krasinski became nostalgic while watching it. Reynolds retweeted Krasinski’s comment and said he cried too while reading these kind words.

“Tears were shed reading this. Thank you, @johnkrasinski,” Reynolds said.

Krasinski himself also knows how to make people cry. Whether it was getting married to Pam (Jenna Fischer) on The Office or sharing positive news on Some Good News during the pandemic, Krasinski knows how to appeal to people’s emotions.

The Office actor is also starring in the lead role in Amazon’s Jack Ryan

However, Krasinski and Reynolds have yet to appear in a project together, until now. The two are teaming up for Imaginary Friends which will co-star and be co-produced by the pair with Krasinski also writing and directing. Phoebe Waller-Bridge is also attached to the project. According to People, Imaginary Friends will center around a man who has the ability to communicate with people’s former imaginary friends and discovers that many of them are angry or sad about being abandoned.
