‘The Bachelor’: An Eliminated Contestant and Matt James Were in the Same Location
The Bachelor is quickly coming to a close, and Matt James’ Bachelor season has been unlike any other. Fans are interested to see who the star gives his final rose to, as it’s down to the last three women. But fans are now wondering what’s going on after the season, as they saw Matt in the same location as a contestant who was eliminated. Here’s what’s going on.

Did ‘The Bachelor’ star Matt James get engaged?
Matt James’ Bachelor season has fans wondering who he’ll choose at the end. It’s down to Bri Springs, Rachael Kirkconnell, and Michelle Young, and Matt recently met their families during hometown dates. While Bri and Michelle have expressed they’re all in with Matt, he’s only told Rachael he’s falling in love with her so far. And according to Reality Steve, Matt chooses Rachael, which many fans expected given his words and actions thus far.
“Matt is definitely with Rachael,” Reality Steve said. “I got the confirmation I needed, one of the more solid confirmations I’ve ever had in the history of the show. So, I’m not too worried about this being wrong.”
So, does Matt get engaged at the end of the show? According to Distractify, it’s been reported that Matt doesn’t get down on one knee for Rachael, but they do leave the show together. Also, some people in Rachael’s hometown of Georgia shared that there actually was an engagement. We may have to wait and see what really goes down at the end of the season.
Fans think he was spotted with Heather Martin
There have been more than a few surprises during Matt James’ Bachelor season — and no one anticipated Heather Martin showing up. Heather got her start on Colton Underwood’s Bachelor season, and she was known for having her first kiss on the show. She later learned of Matt through Hannah Brown, and she knew they’d be the perfect match. Thanks to her own persistence, she joined Matt’s season — but he immediately sent her home.
Now, fans suspect Matt and Heather are in the same location post-Bachelor. A Reddit user saw Matt was in San Clemente, California — and Heather was, too. While they didn’t post any photos together, photos were added to Instagram on the same day, indicating they were in the same location at the same time.
“That’s the real reason heather was cut out of the Women Tell All, she’s actually going to be a huge part of After the Final Rose because she and Matt are engaged,” one Reddit user guessed.
“And remember how they cut Kelley [Flanagan] out of the Women Tell All and she and Peter [Weber] ended up dating,” another fan wrote. “Well, they cut Heather out of the WTA …. That’s all I gotta say, folks.”
Are Matt James and Rachael Kirkconnell still together?
While fans are free to speculate, there’s no concrete evidence Matt and Heather are actually together now. And many are wondering if Matt and Rachael are still together now.
Rachael’s been in the spotlight more than ever due to her racist social media activity of the past, so this could certainly put a strain on the relationship. And Matt’s called for action to happen with the franchise to ensure there’s no more racism in the show or with the contestants. In light of this, Reality Steve took to Twitter to announce Rachael and Matt are no longer together.
“Not that Matt’s statement wasn’t pretty clear itself, but I can confirm that Matt and Rachael have broken up,” Reality Steve tweeted.
Does this mean Heather and Matt could be together? It’s possible. We’ll have to wait and see.
