Clayton Echard’s season of The Bachelor is unlike any season that’s taken place before him. Now, as The Bachelor Fantasy Suites approach, fans are wondering what happens, as the promos show Echard telling his final three women he’s in love with all of them. Host Jesse Palmer reflected on Echard’s season so far and how the star of the show fell in love with three women. Here’s what Palmer said about how he’d handle the situation.

When was Jesse Palmer on ‘The Bachelor’? He’s now the host of Clayton Echard’s season

Prior to standing in as the host of The Bachelor, Jesse Palmer was the lead back in 2004. Life & Style reports Palmer chose Jessica Bowlin as his finalist, but they didn’t get engaged. Instead, Palmer gave her a plane ticket to visit him in New York. He hoped they could reunite outside of the show and date without the pressure of an engagement.

Unfortunately, Palmer and Bowlin couldn’t make their relationship last. After a month of dating outside of the show, they called it quits — but Palmer’s career was just getting started. He then went to become a football analyst with ESPN as well as a host for Good Morning America.

With Chris Harrison no longer a part of Bachelor Nation, Palmer stepped in to host Clayton Echard’s season. He told Variety whether he’d be back to host more seasons after Echard, too. “But I will say, I’m a huge fan of the show and of the franchise and if they want to have those conversations, I would be completely willing to do that,” he said.

The host said he’d never be in Clayton Echard’s predicament with the final 3 women

Clayton Echard has found himself in the worst possible position going into The Bachelor Fantasy Suites. Susie Evans, Rachel Recchia, and Gabby Windey are Echard’s top three women — and the previews show him telling all three of them he’s in love with them.

So, what does Jesse Palmer think about Echard’s situation? The host told Glamour he’d never find himself in Clayton’s position under any circumstance.

“We know he falls in love with all three women, which is still very hard to wrap our brains around,” Palmer says. “When I was the Bachelor, I never came close to being in that position. I wouldn’t allow myself to be in that position. This is certainly not any place that Clayton, I think, expected himself to be in, but he’s here and has to navigate that.”

Palmer then said who he thinks the top two women are. “If I was somebody watching up to this point, I would say Susie and Rachel are probably a little bit more ahead of where he is with Gabby, but it is tough to say because things are changing so quickly,” the host added. “He’s having a lot of revelations.”
