‘The Bachelor’: Reality Steve Said When New Season Airs
Bachelor Nation fans can’t wait to see what’s to come for the franchise. Katie Thurston’s season of The Bachelorette has officially begun, and fans look forward to Michelle Young’s season after that. But what about The Bachelor? It seems Reality Steve knows when the new season might air.
Katie Thurston is currently taking center stage as ‘The Bachelorette’
It’s Katie Thurston’s turn to take on the leading role of The Bachelorette. Thurston got her start on Matt James’ season of The Bachelor, and fans adored the way she stood up for the women who were allegedly getting bullied in the house. Thurston’s season began on June 7, 2021. And she’s already posting about what the experience was like for her.
“As I reminisce about my journey to find love, I can’t help but get in my feels,” she posted to Twitter on May 26, 2021. “You all are about to meet an incredible group of men with fascinating stories to tell. The vulnerability & strength these men show throughout our time together is something I’ll cherish forever.”
The new Bachelorette season also has a hosting change. Chris Harrison took a step back from the franchise after his comments about Rachael Kirkconnell, and Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe took his place. “I think Tayshia and I really found a bond over being there to empower Katie,” Bristowe noted on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast. “We got along so well, and we fed off each other really well. It turned into this really fun time that, again, it feels like it was meant to be.”
When does the new ‘Bachelor’ season begin?
So, when will fans get the next season of The Bachelor? According to Reality Steve, it comes after both new seasons of The Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise. Reality Steve took to Twitter to announce the timing of the new season.
“Here we goooooo,” Reality Steve announced on June 7, 2021. “Get ready for nine straight months of Bachelor programming. Katie’s season, straight into BIP Aug. 16th, right into Michelle’s season around [the] first or second week of October, then seemingly The Bachelor on the first Monday of January 2022 like it’s always been. Buckle up.” The first Monday of January 2022 is Jan. 3.
As for who the next bachelor will be, we’re not sure. It could be one of the men from Thurston or Young’s season. The previous bachelor, James, wasn’t from any previous seasons, which could’ve backfired on the franchise. We’re thinking they’ll stick to the typical format next time.
‘Bachelor in Paradise’ comes after ‘The Bachelorette’ and before a new season of ‘The Bachelor’
After Thurston’s season of The Bachelorette, fans can gear up for Bachelor in Paradise. Paradise brings back fan favorites from seasons of both The Bachelorette and The Bachelor. The new season airs Aug. 16, 2021.
It looks like Harrison won’t host Paradise, either. David Spade is one of the few guest hosts expected on the season, and Harrison is officially stepping away from the show for good.
“I’ve had a truly incredible run as host of The Bachelor franchise and now I’m excited to start a new chapter,” Harrison wrote on Instagram. “I’m so grateful to Bachelor Nation for all of the memories we’ve made together. While my two-decade journey is wrapping up, the friendships I’ve made will last a lifetime.”
As for who’s in Paradise this season, we’re not sure of the full cast listing. But a few Bachelor Nation alums, like Joe Park, made it known they’re headed to the beach.
ABC did not return a request for comment regarding the air date of The Bachelor by the time of publication.
