Two weeks into filming her season of The Bachelorette, Clare Crawley reportedly walked away from her role as the lead because she fell in love with one of her contestants. So Tayshia Adams (from Colton Underwood’s season of The Bachelor) has stepped in. Sources have said that after Crawley’s brief love story is featured this fall, viewers will dive right into Adams’ journey to find love. Why, then, is Crawley still on set if her portion of filming is supposedly over?

Clare Crawley is still on set at La Quinta Resort & Club

Last week, Crawley seemed to have access to her phone because her account liked a tweet about Adams becoming the bachelorette. Since then, she hasn’t done anything on any of her social accounts, but liking that tweet about Adams was enough for fans to assume Crawley truly was through with her Bachelorette journey. Typically, leads and contestants have to give up their phones while filming and get them back when their time on the show has come to an end. So when Crawley’s account liked the tweet, it seemed as though she was done with The Bachelorette and received her phone back.

Now it’s looking like that may not be the case.

Entertainment Tonight obtained photos that were taken on Aug. 11 of Crawley still at the resort. She can be seen with one man and one woman and her dog, Honey. It’s unclear if the two people Crawley is with are part of the crew or if the man is one of the (former?) lead’s contestants.

We’re not sure if Crawley left the resort and has returned or if she never left in the first place. Either way, it’s interesting that she’s there given that it’s been reported that ABC has pivoted to an entirely new season revolving around Adams.

Why Clare Crawley might still be on ‘The Bachelorette’ set

We know that Crawley’s (brief) journey to find love will still be featured when the season airs before pivoting to Adams. Maybe production is keeping Crawley around in case they need her for additional filming. Perhaps we’ll get an update on Crawley and her pick at the end of the season as Adams’ story is wrapping up. Or, she could be back because she and her final rose recipient have split. Who knows?

These, of course, are just possibilities. There is still a lot we don’t know. And it’s looking like we’re not going to get many of our questions answered until the season actually airs.

The Bachelorette is scheduled to air on ABC on Tuesdays this fall.
