‘The Bachelorette’: Clare Crawley’s Twitter Likes Hint at How She Really Feels About How Her Season Ended

Bachelor Nation knew going into Clare Crawley’s season of The Bachelorette that things were going to be different. But coronavirus precautions aside, the Sacramento native’s journey to find love has just felt a bit… off.

Both contestants and leads are sworn to secrecy while their season airs and for a period of time after. But Crawley may be hinting to fans that she had less control over ending her season than it seems via her Twitter likes. Here’s what she liked and host Chris Harrison’s response.

Clare Crawley’s Twitter likes

Crawley is by no means a rampant tweet-liker. So the thread she liked about her season is pretty hard to miss. In the thread, a Bachelor fan writes about how production controls everything that happens behind-the-scenes and thinks ABC was trying to force Crawley out. Additionally, the Twitter user feels Crawley has been receiving a bad edit.

“I think they were trying to force her out on some real. It was reported that she quit 12 days after filming and she locked herself in her room and wouldn’t come out, which was hard to believe considering how bad she wanted it,” one tweet read, as reported by Entertainment Tonight. “And I really feel like they are giving her a bad edit( just my opinion). They are feeding into the narrative and the rumors and making it seem like it was Clare’s decision that this ended and i feel like that’s not the case.”

Chris Harrison says it was Clare Crawley’s choice to leave ‘The Bachelorette’

We have yet to see the actual conversation between Harrison and Crawley that determines the end of the Sacramento native’s time on the show. But Harrison says, when viewers do watch that conversation next week, they’ll see it was Crawley’s choice to leave.

“I really put it in her court, it is completely up to her,” he told ET. “And while I’m saying that, it really is something that you’re all gonna need to see next week… I like for you to see everything and then you can judge, but in my humble opinion, I really feel like you’ll see next week, it’s her call where we go from here.”

Harrison insists that Crawley was in “complete control” of her season from the get-go until the very end.

“This season of The Bachelorette was completely about Clare,” he said. “It’s all about Clare, and she will decide where we go from here. It’s totally, completely up to her.”

The host added that he and his fellow Bachelor producers didn’t go into Crawley’s season with a back-up plan in mind (Tayshia Adams).

“It was all really about Plan A, and it was all about, ‘What do we do with this season with Clare, and where do we go with that?'” he said. “Really, it was about Clare and her decisions. It’s her decisions that you’re gonna see — well, you saw obviously, in Tuesday’s episode.”
