Dale Moss and Clare Crawley of ‘The Bachelorette’ broke up

Following their time on The Bachelorette, Moss and Crawley were together for several months. The two talked about moving in together and frequently posted about their relationship on social media.

Moss published a statement announcing the former couple’s breakup in a now-deleted Instagram post, writing:

“I wanted to share with you all that Clare and I have decided to go our separate ways. We appreciate the love and support we’ve received from so many people, but this is the healthiest decision for both of us at this time.

We strongly believe in leading with love and always remaining true to oneself – something our families have taught and instilled in us throughout our lives. We only hope the best things for one another.

Please respect our privacy as we work through this together.”

Clare Crawley released her own breakup statement

On Jan. 21, Crawley published a breakup statement of her own on Instagram. Her statement differed from Moss’ and in the post, she alluded to the possibility that Moss publicly announced the breakup without consulting her first.

“I was made aware of a ‘mutual’ statement at the same time you all were, so I’ve needed some time to really digest this,” Crawley wrote on Instagram. “Our relationship was not perfect, but I can say that I was genuinely invested with all of my heart. I may not have the answers, but I do know this — I will continue to show up, stand by my word and be committed to love.”

A few days later on Jan. 29, Crawley held an Instagram Live to communicate with fans. Crawley did not directly mention Moss or the breakup, but she spoke about difficulties she has faced since The Bachelorette ended.

“I’m getting to the point now where I’m trying really hard to come back from that and make a U-turn because it’s a dark place to be in when you’ve got a lot of stuff compiled on each other,” she said.

Dale Moss talked about the breakup

Ever since he posted the first breakup announcement, Moss has spoken out about his breakup with Crawley multiple times. In an emotional Instagram Live on Jan. 30, Moss admitted that he is “shaken” following the split.

“I’ve felt so many emotions, so much guilt, but also so much confusion, so much hurt, and I know that we both have,” Moss said. “But the reality of it is, life isn’t perfect. And we make mistakes… I’ve made a lot of them, I know we all do.”

Moss also asked fans of The Bachelorette to send positivity to Crawley.

“I know she’s been f*cking going through it. And whatever the case I know that we’ll figure this out together, whatever it is,” he said.

Does Dale Moss regret breaking up with Clare Crawley?

After Moss held the Instagram Live, fans of The Bachelorette speculated about Moss’ motive. Some fans began to wonder if Moss regrets the relationship ending.

‘The Bachelorette’: Dale Moss Responds to Backlash Following Clare Crawley Split

“Assuming Dale is being genuine here, I think this is the typical scenario where guys tend to be okay immediately after a breakup, but after a few days/weeks/months, they tend to have regrets. Whereas women tend to be sad immediately after a breakup, and gradually come to peace with it,” a Reddit user wrote.

Since Moss has faced backlash for the way he has handled the breakup in public, other fans of The Bachelorette think he simply needs to take a hiatus from posting on social media.

“He really needs to stop talking about it online and just go dark for a bit. No doubt it’s not easy but making videos about it to ‘the public’ is really not helping anything,” a fan wrote on Reddit.

“… people have moved on… He needs to take a break from social media and lay low because this is not the way to go about it,” wrote a Reddit user.
