Hannah Brown did not find love on her season of The Bachelorette. In fact, by the reunion, her engagement had crashed and burned. After she broke up with her final rose winner, Jed Wyatt, she asked out her runner-up, Tyler Cameron. Fans hoped that the two would be able to pick up right where they left off, however that was not the case. Now, Brown has revealed how she felt being turned down by Cameron.

Hannah Brown broke up with Jed Wyatt and asked Tyler Cameron out

After giving Wyatt her final rose, Brown found out that Wyatt had had a girlfriend the entire time he was on the show. During the After the Final Rose special, she announced their breakup.

“I am not with Jed anymore,” she said at the time. “The engagement is over, we are not together. That is not what I said yes to. When I said those things, the things that I said to him on my engagement date, I thought that was my day, and I feel like that was taken from me and how special that was, and it’s been really hard to gravel with that, but I know that what I got is not what I ever wanted for a life partner and love that is not built on a foundation of trust and honesty. I have grown so much, and I know I deserved more than that.”

During that same special, she asked Cameron out on a date.

“The feelings that I have for Tyler didn’t go away,” Brown told People after her finale. “Just because I’m single doesn’t mean I didn’t have feelings for him still. I did want to hang out with him and a single girl can go out on dates and I wanted to go out and have a drink.”

Tyler started dating Gigi Hadid

After the show, Brown wanted a relationship with Cameron.

“I was really hoping that we would start dating again,” Brown recently told People. “I thought I’d made a mistake. I had feelings for Tyler. And I wanted to make things work.”

In her new memoir, God Bless This Mess, she revealed that that isn’t what happened.

“We had really intimate conversations about planning trips and things,” she writes. “I wanted it to work and to know that everything had happened for a reason. But maybe there was some miscommunication of what that meant.”

Two days after she spent the night with Cameron, photos of him with supermodel Gigi Hadid surfaced.

How did Hannah Brown feel when Tyler Cameron rejected her?

Brown was shocked to see the photos.

“I was really caught off-guard,” Brown says. “I knew we were not together or openly dating, but just from the conversations we’d had, it was so shocking — and so public.

“I felt like I had to be strong and pretend it didn’t bother me when it did. I was already on the ground and this was another kick,” she continued. “I was deeply hurt. I said to Tyler, ‘I’d date Gigi Hadid too if I could, I get it.’ But it was not the way I wish it was handled.”

The two reconnected after Cameron’s mother was hospitalized in Feb. 2020.

“He told me he had been thinking about me and he apologized for how everything went down,” the reality star writes. “The next day my brother had an overdose. We bonded over each other’s trauma.”

She ended up living in a house with Cameron and some of his friends during the beginning of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. During that time, she told Cameron how she felt but he rejected her.

“We didn’t even kiss!” she says. “And it was really confusing because I told him I still had feelings for him and he rejected me.”

Brown has since moved on and wishes Cameron the best.
