Many Bachelorette fans are ready to find out whether Michelle Young sends Chris Sutton (Chris S.) home soon. The new villain made some big claims in the week 4 episode. Now, it seems the drama will continue into week 5 on Nov. 16. So how did the men actually feel about the contestant’s comments? Recently, Olumide Onajide explained what happened with Chris S. in The Bachelorette 2021. Here’s everything he said.

In The Bachelorette Season 18 Episode 4, Michelle admitted that she felt unseen during the group dates. Most of the men moved forward and apologized to the lead. Then Chris S. took it upon himself to address the cast, claiming that there were men there who thought they already “had it in the bag.”

Meanwhile, Chris S. spoke with Michelle alone and told her that there were people who weren’t putting in much effort. Chris S. also named Nayte Olukoya as one of the men.

“Nayte, for instance, has said that, you know, when the one-on-one card didn’t have his name on it,” Chris S. said. “He would say, ‘I already know I’m gonna get one. It’s just a matter of when, so this doesn’t really matter.’”

Olumide Onajide on what happened with Chris Sutton in ‘The Bachelorette’ 2021

Following episode 4 of The Bachelorette Season 18, Olumide went on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast and opened up about the Chris S. situation. Olumide described his fellow cast member’s comments as a “stab in the heart,” suggesting that they were likely false.

“Honestly, I took [Chris’ comments] as everyone had it in the bag. It’s a stab in the heart,” Olumide said. “It’s like, ‘Bro, when do you see me just relax and just think that everything is good? That I’m going to win it all?’ I feel like this is something that he pulled out of his a**, and he just wanted to start controversy.”

He continued, “His little man syndrome kicked in. Clearly, he was the only guy there who hasn’t had the most time with Michelle. He was the only man there with the least amount of time. So yeah, that stunt that he pulled was kinda BS.”

Still speaking on Bachelor Happy Hour, co-host Tayshia Adams asked Olumide how he felt about Chris S. specifically singling out Nayte in The Bachelorette. Then Olumide speculated that Nayte was the “easiest target” because he was Michelle’s first impression rose winner.

“Nayte was the frontrunner, the guy with the first rose, you know?” Olumide said. “[Chris S.] pinpointing Nayte, that’s kind of an a**hole move. I wish he kinda called out more names, too. But I think Nayte was the easiest target with the first impression rose.”

Now, Bachelorette fans will have to wait and see whether Michelle finally eliminates Chris S. in season 18 episode 5. But whatever happens next, we’re sure the “Men Tell All” special will be an interesting event. Stay tuned.

The Bachelorette Season 18 airs Tuesdays on ABC.
