Get ready — The Bachelorette Season 18 with Michelle Young will start on Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2021. So now, we’ve got about a week before the new episodes begin. Luckily, the ABC reality series dropped a few clues about Michelle’s journey and her cast in the latest promo trailer before The Bachelorette premiere — here’s our breakdown.

‘The Bachelorette’ promo trailer teases who to watch out for from Michelle Young’s cast

Michelle’s Bachelorette trailer on YouTube starts with a lot of romance with the lead and her cast. The preview teases a number of group dates, including an aviation date, a basketball date, and a teaching date highlighting Michelle’s career. The Bachelorette promo also drops a few clues hinting at who gets alone time with Michelle.

In the teaser, Olumide “Olu” Onajide charms the bachelorette with a jersey. Then Rodney Matthews impresses Michelle — and the rest of the cast — as he runs through the hotel naked. He later tells the lead she gives him “goosebumps,” and he hasn’t felt that way in years.

Meanwhile, The Bachelorette star takes Joe Coleman on a baseball one-on-one date at Target Field in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Michelle also rides a boat with Nayte Olukoya. She then drives a race car with Martin Gelbspan, and the two end up at an observatory. They’re also spotted in a hot tub together during the day.

Later in the preview, Michelle kisses Rick Leach. She goes on a rock climbing date with Jamie Skaar, and she makes a pizza with Peter Izzo. Michelle also spends some time with the reported next bachelor, Clayton Echard, and he thinks the bachelorette could be the one. Then Michelle is spotted cuddling with Brandon Jones on the beach.

While The Bachelorette Season 18 promo trailer drops a few clues about the romance during Michelle’s season, it wouldn’t be a season preview without the drama. As the teaser continues, co-hosts Kaitlyn Bristowe and Tayshia Adams tell Michelle that they spotted something “really alarming” about a cast member. Then a contestant reveals a few spreadsheets in their hotel room.

“Someone is planning out their every move,” Tayshia says.

Meanwhile, Michelle is accused of knowing one of her Bachelorette cast members before the show. Clayton also says the alleged contestant is being dishonest with everyone in the house.

“He said he doesn’t know her, but there’s something he’s not telling all of us,” Clayton says.

Following the bachelor’s comments, The Bachelorette trailer highlights clips of Brandon J. and Rick. Then Nayte is accused of being a “player,” and Clayton seemingly calls him out for being an actor and showing up for the wrong reasons. Nayte appears to deny the allegations. But we doubt this is how the conversation plays out. For one, the both men are clearly not in the same room when they’re “speaking to each other” in the preview. However, we’ll just have to see what happens.

Eventually, The Bachelorette promo moves on to drama between Peter and Will Urena. It also seems like the men will take sides. Lowell “LT” Murray IV wonders why another contestant won’t “just shut up.” Then Peter throws someone’s jacket in the pool.

Now, The Bachelorette Season 18 promo trailer highlights a new storyline for Michelle that goes beyond the typical cast drama. Michelle says she feels “unseen,” and it seems that idea has affected her in the past. The bachelorette reads a poem as the teaser showcases all the tears. Michelle says:

“To my future soulmate. Finding love hasn’t really been easy for me. I was never the girl invited to cute dates at the apple orchard in the fall. I was the girl picked last for prom, but the first for basketball. There was nobody like me. Before, there was nobody to see me. Hey soulmate, if you’re listening, you’ll need to understand, in my heart of hearts, all I’ve ever wanted is love. And I hope you can be that man.”

Meanwhile, The Bachelorette preview indicates that Michelle’s journey will get the epic love story she deserves. The teaser shows Michelle experiencing what she missed out on. She goes on an apple orchard date. She’s also seen at “prom” with one of her contestants.

Then at the end of the trailer, Michelle is seen with a final rose by the beach. Now, it seems the bachelorette will get her happily ever after. But with who? We’ll just have to wait and see what happens when the ABC reality series returns on Oct. 19. However, Brandon J. is the only one with Michelle at the beach in the preview. So, at the very least, it seems likely the contestant makes it far enough to travel. But we’re keeping our eyes peeled for more clues. Stay tuned.
