Tayshia Adams and Zac Clark met on ‘The Bachelorette’ in 2020

Adams initially competed on Colton Underwood’s season of The Bachelor. She made it to Fantasy Suites week, but Underwood sent her home in pursuit of dating Cassie Randolph. Adams was blindsided and heartbroken but returned to the franchise for Bachelor in Paradise. While in Mexico for the summer dating show, Adams dated Derek Peth and John Paul Jones. She briefly dated “JPJ” off the show. But they subsequently broke it off, and Adams was single again.

The contestant was called in to be the lead of The Bachelorette after Clare Crawley ended her season early to be with Dale Moss. Adams appeared on the show a couple of weeks in to take over the season and struck a connection with Clark.

The pair ended the season with an engagement, and have been together since the show wrapped. They haven’t been as PDA-packed on social media as other Bachelor Nation couples. Adams spoke to why that is in a new interview.

Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe spoke about the different ways they use social media

Adams spoke with Variety about her relationship with Clark while promoting Katie Thurston’s season of The Bachelorette. The interviewer asked if there’s anything she or Kaitlyn Bristowe want to keep private after their lives were displayed on national television.

“I probably should have more of those boundaries,” Bristowe joked at first. “I feel like I am an oversharer. I’m like, ‘Hey you guys wanna hear me get engaged? Let’s make it into a podcast!'”

Bristowe and former Bachelorette contestant Jason Tartick got engaged in 2021 during a podcast episode.

“We each navigate our relationship in a different way,” Adams replied. “Kaitlyn and Jason — they dated each other for the past two-and-a-half years. They’re now engaged. Zac and I are actually still figuring it out and still getting to know each other.”

“Yes, we are engaged and that’s amazing,” Adams continued. “But it’s really fun to also date but not have every move be scrutinized. We actually have decided to put a little bit of a boundary and pull back a little bit from social media. Our relationship is tough to navigate on its own already.”

“You both were on the screen for so long, it’s nice to have a little time to yourself now,” Bristowe added.

“Every move being scrutinized, it’s just like, ‘We’re just gonna peel back a little bit.’ And you know what, that’s best for us and that’s what we’re doing,” Adams stated. “So yeah, we’re really happy.”

Now, Adams and Bristowe are the co-hosts of The Bachelorette. They replaced Chris Harrison after he stepped down following his controversial interview with Rachel Lindsay. Many viewers have noted how refreshing it is to have two women help a woman navigate dating on the show.
