Many fans have been not so patiently, waiting for this new look at one of the most anticipated films of 2022. And the new trailer for The Batman certainly did not disappoint.

New ‘The Batman’ trailer released at DC FanDome 2021

As one would expect, the new trailer for The Batman was dark, gruesome, and all-together awesome. DC FanDome 2021 viewers could see a deeper glimpse at Robert Pattinson’s Batman and all the crime in Gotham. This version of the Dark Knight is brutal and unrelenting. He even made Zoë Kravitz’s Catwoman recoil when he bashed on a clearly lifeless person.

At the beginning of the video, the Riddler is arrested by GCPD. But, unfortunately, his face is not revealed throughout the trailer. This aspect of the video makes us suspect that there will be a big reveal regarding his look when the time comes for fans to head to the theaters to watch the film.

At the very least, fans got a good look at Catwoman, Alfred, and the Penguin throughout the new trailer for The Batman. In the final scene of the video, the Penguin believes that he killed Batman in an explosion. However, the Batmobile bursts out from the flames and runs into the Penguin’s car, flipping it over. Batman walks toward the Penguin’s car, with his cape flapping majestically in the wind.

Matt Reeves shows off Bruce and Selina’s chemistry in special 4K version of ‘The Batman’ trailer

Shortly after the premiere of the new The Batman trailer, Matt Reeves tweeted out a Vimeo link to a 4K version of the trailer. According to Reeves, this is how high-quality the film will look when it hits theaters next year.

In the video, fans can see Robert Pattinson’s Bruce Wayne and Zoë Kravitz’s Selina Kyle teaming up as Batman and Catwoman. Kyle tells Wayne, “It’s only going to get worse for you,” as they stare longingly into each other’s eyes. Later in the trailer for The Batman, she asks the broody Bruce, “Maybe we’re not so different. Who are you under there?”

The two iconic DC Comics characters have been known to have a complicated relationship. In the comics, Bruce and Selina are frequently on opposite sides of fights. However, they have always been attracted to one another. It will be interesting to see how The Batman handles their relationship, but the new trailer for the film promises that it will be very complex.
