What happened in ‘The Blacklist’ Season 9 Episode 19?
Last week’s episode of The Blacklist Season 9 centered on Aram’s personal struggles. Aram has had mental health issues for his entire life, but things are worse than ever. He blames himself for not saving Samar sooner and not preventing Liz’s death, leaving Agnes an orphan.
Aram tries psychedelic therapy to cope and ends up hallucinating the same day over and over again. The Post Office is infiltrated by armed men led by a man in a bear mask. The man turns out to be an evil version of Aram himself, who reminds Aram of his failures in life. Later, a hallucinated version of Samar Navabi shows up to comfort Aram, telling him, “You’ve always been enough.”

The Blacklist Season 9 Episode 20 is titled “Caelum Bank.” According to Rotten Tomatoes, the episode synopsis reads, “In an effort to reveal his true enemy, Red turns to the task force to help ground a flying fortress bank.” Red has been searching for answers about Liz’s death throughout season 9, but things have only become more confusing.
Red is sure that VanDyke must have had an accomplice in helping him murder Liz, but it seems like the truth is farther away than ever. In the last few episodes, Red grew suspicious that Mr. Kaplan could be alive. His investigation led him to a building where Kaplan appeared to be walking around.
However, the building blew up when Weecha went inside to investigate. In last week’s episode, Red realized that the person inside the building was actually Kaplan’s sister Maureen. Red seems just as lost as ever, but maybe he will find answers at Caelum Bank.
Heddie Hawkins returns in tonight’s new episode
Promo photos for the episode show that Mierce will be sticking around for episode 20. Red’s love interest returned in the previous episode after learning that her sister was injured. Photos also prove that Red’s associate Heddie Hawkins will be making another appearance, and Weecha appears to have recovered from her injuries.
Alina Park features heavily in the promo photos. In one photo, she appears to rub her head in pain. Fans will likely get an update on Park’s headaches and what she is doing now that she has decided to take herself out of the field.
