The Bold and the Beautiful is one of the most popular soap operas ever to air on television. Originally, the series was created as a “sister show” to The Young and the Restless, but over the years, it has grown and expanded to take on a life all of its own. Fans love the show, and they have formed connections to many of the show’s characters over the years. One of the most beloved characters is Wyatt Spencer, played by the talented actor Darin Brooks. Recently, Brooks opened up on Twitter, revealing which storylines on the show are his favorite.

When did The Bold and the Beautiful premiere?

In 1987, the television landscape changed forever when The Bold and the Beautiful first debuted. As a companion show to The Young and the Restless, the early years of The Bold and the Beautiful featured many crossover storyline and characters. The wealthy Forrester family was the focus during the early seasons, with more characters introduced as the years went on. One thing that has never changed is the show’s focus on drama, and the lifestyles of the rich and privileged — for these reasons, fans continue to tune in, week after week, to enjoy classic escapism.

In 2011, The Bold and the Beautiful switched over to high-definition, providing viewers with an even better television experience. That commitment to quality has certainly contributed to the show’s popularity, and in 2017, the show celebrated its thirtieth anniversary. These days, The Bold and the Beautiful is on a filming hiatus, due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Still, some reports indicate that the show may soon resume filming, which means that fans will be able to catch up with their favorite characters soon.

Darin Brooks is a fan favorite on The Bold and the Beautiful

Since 2013, Darin Brooks has been a mainstay on The Bold and the Beautiful. Brooks was cast as Wyatt Spencer in 2013, but the role was hardly his introduction to daytime television. Brooks began acting while still in high school, getting experience in stage productions and eventually transitioning to television commercials. After some years as a model, Brooks landed a juicy role on the soap opera Days of Our Lives, according to IMDb.

Brooks continued to act on Days of Our Lives for five years before going on to work on other shows, including Blue Mountain State, CSI: Miami, and Bloomers. Still, it was the part that he scored in 2013 on The Bold and the Beautiful that has made Brooks a television star. Wyatt Spencer, as a character, is unique to the world of The Bold and the Beautiful. Reckless, confident, and charming, Wyatt’s impulsivity often gets him in trouble, but he is usually able to extricate himself — and he always has a great time doing so.

One of the longest-running storylines involving Wyatt Spencer is his relationship with Hope Logan. Hope inspires Wyatt to try to become his best self, often pushing him to think and act outside the box. Wyatt is also fond of new adventures and experiences and often travels to exotic locations — such as a 2013 storyline that saw him and several other characters venture to scenic Monte Carlo.

As it turns out, the storylines involving Monte Carlo and other trips are Darin Brooks’ favorite episodes of all. In a recent Tweet, the actor responded to a fan question about his favorite Wyatt storylines, saying that he loves: “All of them!! I have fun playing him! But anything in Monte Carlo or traveling is best!”
