Emy Alupei and Emanuel Neagu reportedly dropped from ‘The Challenge 38’

In 2016, The Challenge finalist Emy Alupei kicked off her reality TV career with an appearance on the singing competition show X Factor Romania.

During her rendition of Nicki Minaj’s “Only” featuring Drake, Lil Wayne, and Chris Brown, the rapper used the “n-word” multiple times.

The video resurfaced in November 2021 following her standout performance as a rookie in The Challenge season 37’s Spies, Lies, and Allies.

In May 2022, she was seemingly cast for season 38 alongside Romanian native Emanuel Neagu, who also became a fan favorite. However, popular spoiler account GamerVev reported the two players were dropped as a result of her controversial X Factor performance.

Emy and Emanuel performed well as rookies during ‘The Challenge 37’

Following their strong performances on Survivor Romania, Emy and Emanuel appeared on The Challenge 37: Spies, Lies, and Allies.

While he remained safe throughout the majority of the competition, mainly due to his partnership with eventual winner Kaycee Clark and member of the dominant Emerald Cell, Emy had a more challenging ride to the end.

She found herself in four eliminations before placing third overall, walking away with $50,000. On the other hand, Emanuel was chosen for the last elimination before the finals, where he lost.

It’s unclear if the two will ever return to the competition show. The Challenge: All Stars 3 airs Wednesdays on Paramount+.
