Ashley Cain competed on ‘The Challenge’

In 2014, former Nuneaton, England-based soccer player Ashley Cain debuted on the first season of the British dating series Ex on the Beach as an original single.

He later returned for the following and fifth season (2016) as an ex. Unable to find love on the shows, the former soccer player and self-proclaimed “ladies’ man” tried his hand at the MTV competition series, The Challenge in its 33rd season, War of the Worlds.

Although he got into a couple of explosive arguments with his co-stars, Cain and his partner, Kam Williams, performed reasonably well, winning a daily mission and elimination.

However, they were taken out before the finals. The 30-year-old has not returned for another season as of yet.

Cain’s daughter diagnosed with a rare form of cancer

Shortly following his time on the show, the British reality star began dating Safiyya Vorajee, and they welcomed a baby girl, Azaylia Diamond, into the world in Aug. 2020.

When she turned two months old, he revealed she received a rare leukemia diagnosis. After receiving treatment for four months and undergoing a stem cell transplantation, Cain and Vorajee prepared to bring their daughter home in Feb. 2021.

However, shortly before their departure time, the parents found out the aggressive cancer returned. A month later, the reality star gave a bleak update regarding his daughter’s health, explaining she had tumors throughout her body.

But, the chemotherapy no longer worked, and other treatment options wouldn’t help either. Therefore, the parents had to take their child home to “make our baby as comfortable as possible” in her last days.

The Rock sent Cain a message following their daughter’s prognosis

A huge fan of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, one of his friends reached out to the former wrestler and explained Cain’s situation. Therefore, The Rock sent the reality star a message of support, noting he’s “sorry to hear” about his daughter’s prognosis.

He also called Azaylia a “little lion” and offered an affirmative “stay strong.” The actor continued, telling Cain his child’s “strength is what strengthens you” and noted the “incredible impact” his 8-month-old daughter has made in a short time.
