‘The Challenge’: Fessy Shafaat Reportedly Visiting Amanda Garcia After She Called It Quits
Veterans Amanda Garcia and Fessy Shafaat met during The Challenge 37 and seemingly announced their relationship in Sept. 2021. However, a few weeks later, a fan caught Fessy at a club dancing with another woman and posted a video of the interaction online. Amanda responded to the clip several times, claiming they were “done,” and with one tweet noting she planned to cancel their upcoming trips to see each other. Shortly later, the two were spotted together in her hometown.

A few weeks later, a fan posted a video of Fessy dancing with a woman at the bar and holding her waist at one point. Several users tagged Amanda, and she responded multiple times.
The veteran claimed Fessy would “regret it” and went to call him a “f—— trash bag.” In another tweet, Amanda referred to him as a “clown” as she asserted he repeatedly called and texted her while at that club.
She also insisted she’s “done” with the two-time finalist and noted she planned to cancel their upcoming trips to visit each other in their hometowns. Fessy vaguely responded to the situation in a tweet, “I just want a woman to love me.”

Nearly two weeks later, a viewer posted pictures of Amanda and Fessy at a restaurant in her hometown. Many fans were confused and “shook” as she seemed adamant about no longer entertaining him in her multiple tweets.
While some users called the situation “cringe,” others feel the two go well together and hope they work out their differences.
One fan pointed out that the video didn’t capture Fessy kissing the woman at the bar and believes it could’ve just been harmless fun instead of cheating, as many people previously thought. The two had taken a break before as Amanda admitted she ghosted Fessy immediately after the season in an Instagram Live.
He began seeing rookie Michele Fitzgerald during this time, but they reconnected when filming for the reunion. Since then, the couple hung out when taping the official After Show and recently vacationed in Mexico together.

Following a four-season break, Amanda returned for The Challenge 37, where she met two-time finalist, Fessy. They began openly exploring a connection after attempting to hide their new fling due to his tense past with her best friend, Nelson Thomas.
However, his physical altercation with Josh Martinez cut their time in the house together short. In her interviews after the season, Amanda initially insisted she didn’t see a future with Fessy, referring to him as a “reality TV boy” and an “appetizer.”
Even so, she gave him a chance, and they went on a vacation to Mexico in Sept. 2021. After hinting they were together by uploading similar images that excluded each other, Fessy seemingly announced their relationship on Instagram with a post. Including multiple pictures from their getaway, he captioned it, “it’s something about you, but I really can’t explain it.”
Several co-stars congratulated the two in the comment section, making it feel like a relationship announcement. However, the two have yet to put a label on it publicly. The Challenge 37 airs Wednesdays at 8/7 Central on MTV.
