Julie Stoffer says she would compete in ‘All Stars 4’ under one condition

After last appearing in MTV’s The Challenge: Gauntlet 2 (2005), Julie (Stoffer) Rogers left the reality TV community before reuniting with her former roommates in 2022 for The Real World Homecoming: New Orleans.

Following the airing of episode 7, a follower encouraged Julie to go back on The ChallengeJulie responded, calling her experience on Homecoming “the ultimate challenge” due to her behavior on the show that might get her “canceled.”

However, the reality TV star claimed she eventually “stopped caring about anything” except focusing on making it to the end of the experience.

She also noted the pay to appear on Homecoming was better than her earnings on The Challenge, which totaled $28,904 after five seasons (one of which she won). However, Julie admitted she could be swayed to compete in the spinoff. “I might do all All Stars 4 if they put the right people there. And leave off the wrong ones! Competitors only!” She added.

Julie has competed in five seasons of ‘The Challenge,’ winning one

The 42-year-old Wisconsin native and then-devout Mormon premiered on Extreme Challenge (2001), which she won as part of the Real World team. Julie walked away with a total of $19,333.

Following a short-lived appearance on Battle of the Sexes (2002), where she went home first, the reality TV personality returned for The Inferno (2004). Although she won $1,000, she went home just before the finals.

The former champ came back for The Inferno 2 (2005) but suffered the same fate, also going home during episode 12. She last returned for The Gauntlet 2 (2005), where she had one of her best performances as part of the Veterans team.

However, they lost the final challenge, and she went home with $8,571 in her pocket. After her time on The Challenge, Julie married and had children.

She memorably yanked on Veronica Portillo’s harness in a top shocking moment

Apart from her devout Mormonism, Julie is remembered for the infamous moment in which she yanked on co-star Veronica Portillo’s safety harness while they were suspended from zip lines hundreds of feet in the air.

The action scared Veronica, who memorably screamed, “she’s trying to kill me!” The other competitors also yelled at Julie to stop, but it continued until their time expired. No one was hurt, and the interaction is included in the show’s top 25 most shocking moments.

Nearly 20 years later and shortly before The Real World Homecoming premiered, Julie spoke on the “murdering Mormon” nickname she earned from the situation and insisted that she never intended to harm Veronica. Instead, Julie maintains she was focused on the win.

However, the reality TV personality believes Veronica genuinely thinks she tried to kill her, admitting the two still “don’t get along” because of the infamous harness moment. The Real World Homecoming: New Orleans and The Challenge: All Stars 3 air Wednesdays on Paramount+.
