Leroy Garrett has competed in 12 seasons of ‘The Challenge’

Originally from Michigan, then 25-year-old Leroy Garrett made his reality television debut on MTV’s The Real World: Las Vegas (2011). A few months later, he premiered on the 21st season of companion reality competition series, The Challenge: Rivals (2011), alongside his nemesis and former Real World roommate, Adam Royer.

However, his partner left the house after getting into a fight, and Leroy ended up competing alongside another past roommate, Michael Ross, and they made it to the finals, placing third.

He returned for Battle of the Exes (2012), Rivals II (2013), and Free Agents (2014) but failed to make the finals again until his fifth season, Battle of the Exes II (2015), where he placed second, taking home $35,000.

Even though Leroy made the finals in two of the next six seasons he competed in; he didn’t win any money.

Leroy began dating Kam Williams

In January 2018, Leroy met Are You the One? 5 star Kam Williams as they competed on Vendettas together.

The two fell for each other throughout the season, and “Killa Kam,” who lived in New Jersey at the time, wanted to make the relationship official.

However, based out of Las Vegas, Leroy didn’t want to date long distance and admittedly wasn’t ready for a serious girlfriend at the moment. Therefore, the two parted ways.

A year after the breakup, the former couple competed on Team USA together during War of the Worlds. Leroy wanted to rekindle his relationship with Kam, but she tried to move on with then-rookie, Theo Campbell.

Following the show, they remained friends, and Kam admitted to hanging out with Leroy in Las Vegas after filming wrapped but claimed they hadn’t begun dating again yet.

The couple decided to get back together a few months later during War of the Worlds 2, with the help of veteran competitor CT Tamburello.

Leroy says he’s retiring after ‘The Challenge 36: Double Agents’

They made their relationship Instagram official on Feb. 21, several months before returning for his 12th season and her fifth, Double Agents.

In a pre-show interview, Kam explained she and Leroy would be “each others’ eyes and ears” during the season. Additionally, she noted she has never trusted another competitor fully how she trusts Leroy and wants to see how far it gets them.

According to Leroy, the couple already rejected the idea of partnering up before entering the house because they want to “spread” their votes around and don’t want to become an easy target for the other competitors.

While Kam shared her “simple” strategy, which consists of winning an elimination and staying safe until the finals, Leroy explained he would make “smart power moves” this season.

As opposed to looking out for his teammates, the former Real World star noted he doesn’t care about the others’ feelings this time because he is retiring after Double Agents.

Leroy has competed for the past 10 years and likely wants to settle down with Kam as they recently moved into a Houston, Texas place together. Will Leroy finally get his first win to end his time on the series? The Challenge 36: Double Agents airs on Dec. 9 at 8/7c on MTV.
