‘The Challenge’: ‘Messy’ Fessy Shafaat Is No Longer the Only Season 37 Player Calling Out CT Tamburello

After her recent elimination in episode 8 of ‘The Challenge: Spies, Lies, and Allies,’ CT Tamburello’s former partner Berna Canbeldek started calling out ‘The Challenge’ GOAT. Much like disqualified player Fessy Shafaat has been doing for months. During an interview, the ‘Survivor Turkey’ alum branded CT a liar after he switched partners.

The Challenge season 37 could end in another victory for CT Tamburello. He’s well on his way to another final. And if he comes out on top, that would mean back-to-back wins for CT and five victories overall.

But this much success in the MTV reality competition has brought with it some haters. “Messy” Fessy Shafaat isn’t the only player from Spies, Lies, and Allies who is calling out CT.

CT and Fessy have been feuding since ‘The Challenge: Double Agents’

CT and Fessy first competed against each other on season 35 Total Madness, which was the Big Brother star’s rookie season. Fessy bested CT by making it to the finals and finishing fourth, while The Real World: Paris alum ended up going home in episode 3. It wasn’t until season 36 Double Agents that their feud began.

In the middle of that season, CT and Fessy almost came to blows when the former college football player — who was 29 at the time — called the then-40-year-old Challenge vet a “used-to.” Fessy also claimed to be “better” and “faster” than CT.

Fessy doesn’t want to wait for Hall Brawl

Fessy talked a good game in Double Agents, but he ended up having a meltdown in the finals. He refused to eat and got cut, while CT scored his fourth Challenge win.

In Spies, Lies, and Allies, Fessy was disqualified in episode 7 after an altercation with Josh Martinez, while CT is still in the competition. Despite getting eliminated before CT again, “Messy” Fessy is still calling him out on social media and challenging him to a boxing match instead of waiting for the “Challenge gods” to put them in a Hall Brawl elimination.

“I mean, everybody knows I called out CT but I don’t think he’s gonna fight me, he’s already paid. He’s got nothing to gain from it besides the fact that we could go in, throw some hands without security,” Fessy said on Celebrity Net Fights BB Canada vs BB USA.

Another player from ‘The Challenge: Spies, Lies, and Allies’ is calling out CT Tamburello

After her elimination in episode 8 of Spies, Lies, and Allies, CT’s former partner Berna Canbeldek started calling out The Challenge GOAT. During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the Survivor Turkey alum branded CT a liar after he switched partners.

“When I was eliminated, literally in the hotel I was so angry. I couldn’t process it for weeks. Emy [Alupei] shocked me because she’s lying to my face. But she did a lot of bad and not right things to others as well in the house, so it fit her,” Berna explained. “But CT on the other hand, it was the biggest shock in my life because I talked to him about what he did to Big T last season.”

Berna Canbeldek says CT lied to her face

Berna had heard that CT hurt Big T in season 36, so she talked with him a lot about being truthful with her. She told him that if he ever wanted to switch partners, he could talk to her about it. But, she says he ended up lying to her instead.

“I’m a strong competitor, I don’t really need CT. But he was lying to me as well, not just Emy,” Berna explained. “He lied to my face that he didn’t know anything about this plan, that he would never like Emy as a partner, and literally told me about other people’s stuff that he now suddenly is so close to. I don’t know what happened. Maybe it was strategy, but it was a shocker for me.”

Berna says that the ‘The Challenge’ GOAT is ‘the worst’

Looking back on her first season of The Challenge, Berna says that she does have a few regrets. She admits she made some strategy mistakes, but as a rookie she didn’t know what she was doing. Plus, the “vets are just crazy-good in this game.”

“The one thing I would have done differently when I see it now is when I won my first elimination, I should have changed my partner,” Berna says. “If I would have think a little better, ‘Of course everyone would have taken CT from me one day anyways,’ so it was stupid to stay with CT.”

The Berlin, Germany native added that CT surprised her more than anyone else on The Challenge. Especially after she saw his interviews. The way he talked about her in his confessionals and with other players makes CT “the worst of all of them,” Berna says.
