Fessy Shafaat is known for his incredible physical power on MTV’s The Challenge Season 36, Double Agents. Unfortunately, he’s managed to make quite a few enemies on the show. And many suspected foul play when he went against Nelson Thomas in a “Hall Brawl” elimination. Here’s what Fessy has to say about his gameplay.

Fessy Shafaat competed against Nelson Thomas on ‘The Challenge’ Season 36

It’s not easy going against friends in The Challenge, but it certainly happens in the game. Fessy wanted to achieve his gold skull by throwing himself into an elimination round. Four episodes into Double Agents, Fessy decided to go head to head with Nelson, a friend and ally in the house — and he came out on top.

“I had no intention of going into elimination tonight,” Fessy told the cameras prior to the elimination round starting. “However, it’s definitely a Hall Brawl. This elimination was specifically designed for me, and I’d be doing myself a disservice if I sat this one out.”

Nelson gave it his all in the elimination against Fessy — but it wasn’t enough. Despite his best efforts, Fessy was able to overtake Nelson and win.

“All I can say is, I’m sorry, bro,” Fessy told the cameras after his win. “But, I think we learned today you have to be selfish in this game, as I did tonight. We’re competing for $1 million, so I’m going to do what’s best for me.”

Fessy says he ‘didn’t play dirty’ against Nelson

“Hall Brawl” is extremely physically taxing, but many of the fellow competitors watching the fight noted Fessy appeared to play dirty on The Challenge Season 36. But Fessy set the record straight on the Challenge Mania podcast.

While talking on the podcast, Fessy addressed him ripping off the visor part of Nelson’s helmet. “Every time I went to try to get under him, it kept scratching me,” he said. “People are like, ‘Oh, he played dirty.’ No, I didn’t gauge his eyes out … I took off his plastic piece because it’s two grown-a** men in a 3-foot-wide hall for $1 million.”

“That kind of rubbed me the wrong way when I heard people in their confessionals saying, ‘Oh, Fessy’s playing dirty,” he continued. “I would never do that. I want to win no matter what, but I would never play dirty. I didn’t think I played dirty.”

Not only was Fessy the center of attention because of the messy “Hall Brawl” performance, but many also wondered about his personal life. The Challenge season 36 shows Fessy taking interest in both Tori Deal and Gabby Allen. But it’s Fessy and Gabby who lock lips.

It doesn’t look like Fessy and Gabby maintain a relationship once production ends — though the same can’t necessarily be said for Tori. Tori and Fessy were photographed vacationing together in Turks and Caicos.

Tori was even called out by friend and co-podcast host Aneesa Ferreira, too. And they addressed the romance rumors on The Official Challenge Podcast. “I will say this — we have some very loyal, loving, and aware fans … some of you should be detectives,” Aneesa said. “I don’t know how you find the things that you find.”

We’ll have to wait and see how Fessy fairs through the rest of the season.
