MTV’s The Challenge Season 37 has gone through a number of twists and turns already, and the veteran players showed their dominance early on. Now, the players continue to fight for their lives in their various cells — Emerald, Sapphire, and Ruby. And fans can’t wait until The Challenge Season 37 winner is revealed. Additionally, viewers have the reunion to look forward to — but cast member CT Tamburello is reportedly missing.

CT Tamburello’s movie career might launch him to superstardom

CT Tamburello is a well-known member of MTV’s The Challenge Season 37 cast. He’s played the game for years and won several times, and while he’s certainly older than a number of newer players, he continues to prove himself as one of the most threatening veteran players left in the game. As of The Challenge Season 37 Episode 14, CT doesn’t get called down once to The Lair to face off in eliminations.

Now, fans are worried CT’s days on The Challenge are numbered. According to Deadline, CT will star in a remake of The Most Dangerous Game alongside Tom Berenger, an Oscar-nominated actor.

“I am beyond humbled to have such an amazing cast on this project and even more thankful that I get to shoot it in such a gorgeous location that I grew up in,” director Justin Lee said. “What Chris [Tamburello] has brought to the table in the role of Sanger is beyond exceptional and I am very excited for the world to get to see what he is capable of as an actor.”

So, is CT Tamburello leaving The Challenge? A successful movie release could potentially launch his career to heights way above reality TV. While CT hasn’t yet made any mention of whether he’s leaving the show after season 37, rumors continue to buzz.

CT Tamburello is reportedly missing from MTV’s ‘The Challenge’ Season 37 reunion

While CT Tamburello might be on to bigger and better things, fans noticed he appears to be missing from MTV’s The Challenge Season 37 reunion. A number of cast members, like Nelson Thomas, Emy Alupei, and Kyle Christie posted footage to social media while filming for the reunion episode. But CT was nowhere to be found.

Reddit users noted they initially heard rumors that CT’s wife made him miss the reunion. A Reddit user noted certain spoiler accounts shared that “he wasn’t at the reunion because his wife didn’t want him around Emy after watching her towards him so far this season,” but this was just a lie for the cast to tell to cover “that he was filming a movie.”

Another Reddit user notes CT’s filming schedule may explain why he didn’t participate in any of the after-shows, too.

Currently, we do not have verification on whether CT will take part in the reunion. But perhaps the show will further explain his absence when the time comes.

He’s not the only cast member from ‘The Challenge: Spies, Lies, and Allies’ missing

Fans love CT Tamburello and hope to see him at MTV’s The Challenge Season 37 reunion. But, if he can’t make it, he won’t be the only one missing. Cory Wharton also allegedly won’t appear at the reunion special. It seems he can’t join because of his vaccination status.

“No Challenge reunion for me; they said due to my vaccination status,” he wrote via Twitter. “They really are strong-arming people nowadays.”

Spoiler accounts revealed the reunion filmed in Amsterdam, so U.S. travelers have to abide by tight guidelines. The guidelines dictate they must be vaccinated. They also must produce a negative coronavirus (COVID-19) test upon arrival.

It’s unclear what this means for Cory moving forward. Will he appear on future episodes of MTV’s The Challenge if he remains unvaccinated from coronavirus? It seems unlikely.

MTV’s The Challenge Season 37 airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. EST on MTV.
