‘The Challenge’: This ‘Double Agents’ Cast Member Said He Knew Fessy Shafaat Was Flirting With Tori Deal During Deal’s Engagement
The Challenge: Double Agents is heating up with the drama, and a ton of attention has been thrown toward Fessy Shafaat and Tori Deal this season. Deal got engaged on the show to Jordan Wiseley, but they’ve since called off her engagement. And she’s raised eyebrows after being seen on vacation with Shafaat.
Now, a cast member from Double Agents is saying he always knew Shafaat was trying to flirt with Deal. Here’s what happened.

There have been plenty of rumors to suggest Deal and Shafaat are romantically involved. Photos surfaced in early 2021 seemingly showing Deal with Shafaat in Turks and Caicos. This raised plenty of questions, as both Deal and Shafaat recently exited long-term relationships.
Shafaat insists nothing’s going on between him and Deal. He told his fans and followers that he and Deal are great friends, and nothing was bound to change. As for Deal, she doesn’t appear to be denying the rumors that she’s involved with Shafaat. And her friend and co-star, Aneesa Ferreira, also called her out on their podcast.
“I’ve been trying to lay low,” Deal told Ferreira on MTV’s Official Challenge Podcast.
“You mean, laying low in Turks?” Ferreira noted.
“You’re gonna call me out right now?” Deal said back. “I thought we were friends. I thought this was a safe space.”
This cast member said he knew Shafaat was getting flirty when Deal was engaged
Perhaps Shafaat and Deal thought they were being sneaky regarding their alleged attraction toward one another. But a Double Agents cast member saw right through it.
Nelson Thomas is a regular on The Challenge, and he went up against Shafaat in a hall brawl elimination round. He then spoke with Ferreira and Deal on the Challenge podcast — and the topic of Deal’s possible romance with Shafaat came up.
“Now, when it came down to you, Tori … I thought you and Fessy had a thing going on at that time, so ya’ll were rocking with each other,” Thomas said.
“But what is a ‘thing’?” Deal asked. “What is a ‘thing’ going on?”
“I knew Fessy was attracted to you last season — we all knew that,” Thomas continued. Then, Ferreira and Deal noted they didn’t know that, so Thomas rephrased to say he and Cory Wharton knew. “Cory and I knew that,” Thomas added. “And going throughout this season, watching him make his moves, you’re like, man, you’re really pushing it, Fessy, between you and Tori. We don’t know what was going on or what was said, so I can’t speak on that. But from the outside looking in, this is what I see.”
Deal and Jordan Wiseley broke off their engagement recently
Deal denied any flirtation that happened between her and Shafaat prior to this season — but it seems outsiders had an inkling something could’ve been going on. However, up until recently, Deal was happily engaged. She and Wiseley got engaged on the show, and they broke off their engagement in November 2020.
“I thought I knew love when Jordan and I were together, but there is a different kind of love that two people feel when they decide it’s time to experience life apart,” Deal posted to Instagram. “Even though Jordan and I are going to be moving forward in separate ways, our love, support, and connection with one another only grows stronger and deeper.”
We’ll have to wait and see if anything really is going on between Deal and Shafaat, but Thomas certainly isn’t helping the rumors cease.
