‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’: Kris Jenner Called Out Ellen DeGeneres for Never Attending Her Parties

Ellen DeGeneres is back on the air with season 18 of The Ellen DeGeneres Show. And she’s already hosted her good friend, Kris Jenner, virtually. While DeGeneres noted she and Jenner spent some time over the summer together, Jenner called the host out for never attending any of her parties. Here’s what she said.

Jenner appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show multiple times over the years, and she made another appearance in 2020. Since DeGeneres is still dealing with all the controversy and scrutiny of her past employees, this has been addressed during season 18 of the show. And it was also lightly touched upon when Jenner made her virtual visit.

“You have been so supportive,” DeGeneres told Jenner on season 18 of The Ellen DeGeneres Show. “We saw each other this summer and hung out. And you’re a good person to be around when things are going a little tough because you have been through it.”

Jenner added plenty of kind words for DeGeneres, too. She noted that every storm passes over time, and she verified that she and DeGeneres are particularly close.

“You’re an inspiration to me personally because you’ve taught me so much and been there for me when I’m going through something …,” Jenner continued.

Jenner called DeGeneres out for not coming to her parties

While talking with Jenner, the topic of parties came up. The Kardashian/Jenner family adore a good celebration, and they certainly have the money to throw some outrageous bashes.

“The parties that you throw — in which, I’ve never been to one of your parties because I am not a party person. I stay home all the time,” DeGeneres started on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

“I know,” Jenner stated. “We invite you, and you stay home, you little stinker.”

“I know,” DeGeneres admitted. “I like small groups. I like when it’s just us.” The host then pivoted the conversation to the “crazy parties” Jenner throws — and she then posted a photo of a giant slide that looks like Khloé Kardashian. From there, Jenner talked about the “wildest” party she’s ever thrown.

“When you go to a destination, I guess, it’s probably the craziest production,” Jenner said.

This isn’t the only celebrity who called DeGeneres out for not attending celebrations

The interview between DeGeneres and Jenner in 2020 isn’t the first time DeGeneres has been called out for not attending a party. DeGeneres once spoke with actor Dakota Johnson, and the interview took an awkward turn when DeGeneres claims she wasn’t invited to Johnson’s birthday party when she actually was invited and didn’t attend on her own accord.

“How was the party?” DeGeneres asked Johnson. “I wasn’t invited.”

“Actually, no, that’s not the truth, Ellen,” Johnson said in response. “You were invited.” And Johnson then explained that the last time she was on the show, DeGeneres gave her grief about not getting an invite, too. “I didn’t even know you liked me,” Johnson added.

“This time you invited me?” DeGeneres asked. “Are you sure? I don’t think so.”

Johnson then told DeGeneres to “ask everybody,” and she was able to verify that she was telling the truth.

It looks like DeGeneres might just seriously avoid going to celebrity parties. In any case, she likely won’t attend Johnson or Jenner’s bashes in the future!
