Madeline Brewer thinks season 5 of ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ is ‘wild’

In The Handmaid’s Tale, Brewer plays a Handmaid in Gilead named Janine. While Janine nearly escaped Gilead in season 4 and lived in Chicago, she was recaptured and is still a Handmaid.

Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Brewer shared that season 5 of The Handmaid’s Tale will be “wild.”

“The word wild is in my brain. It’s wild. It’s a little wild. I truly don’t know how to describe it… I mean, we’re so much out of Gilead. And everyone is experiencing things that they have not yet experienced. Everyone’s going through a transformative period,” Brewer said.

She added, “You know, everybody’s experiencing their Saturn return, okay? Right now all of these characters, their Saturn is returning.”

Janine could be in trouble again in season 5 of ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’

In The Handmaid’s Tale, Janine has managed to avoid death multiple times. Most recently, Brewer’s character survived a bombing in the show’s fourth season.

Brewer revealed to Entertainment Weekly that Janine will still face a lot of danger in the show’s upcoming season.

“As per usual, Janine is a cat with nine lives… And if you’ve been watching the show, you know she used up several of them already. And I’m going to just say this season is no exception to that,” Brewer told Entertainment Weekly.

Brewer also teased that fans will “see a side of Janine this season that we haven’t seen before.”

“It’s going really well, we’re halfway through,” Moss said on The Drew Barrymore Show. “I will say that it’s a very big season. We’ve been on location a lot. We’ve been in studio very little, which for us means that it’s very big. And we’re just constantly on the road, a lot of locations.”
